I appreciate you guys bringing out the (Mooresville) football team, the Blue Devils. I got to go to a game, my first game in a long, long time last year. Great experience. Having gone and graduated from Mooresville that is the team to pull for. We hope you guys have a good season and are having a good season and you’ve got a lot of fans in and around Mooresville that are pulling for you guys every week. But, thank you so much, you know this track has been real special to me. This is one of the few tracks that I probably never missed a race since I was a little boy. KYLE LARSON, NO. 42 TARGET CHEVROLET SS, met with members of the media at Charlotte Motor Speedway and discussed what he and his team need to do in order to progress to the Round of 8, thoughts on this weekend’s race at Charlotte Motor Speedway and the threat of rain and many other topics. Full Transcript:

HOW DOES CHARLOTTE AND THE NEXT TWO TRACKS SET YOU UP FOR ADVANCING INTO THE NEXT ROUND?
“It was nice to make it easily into this next round. The tracks in this round suit me fairly decent, I guess. Charlotte, I seem to be hit or miss. I feel like whenever we end up running a day show at Charlotte I’m really good, but he night races for some reason, I struggle at. Hopefully, the weather stays away and we can race while the sun is out and then have a solid race and go to Talladega and not have to do anything crazy to gain a bunch of points, but, go there and kind relax will be nice. And then Kansas is one of my better tracks so excited to get there. I seem to always run better the second Kansas also, so looking forward to that. Just got to continue what we have been doing, making no mistakes. Top fives and top 10’s would be great, so that is our goal.” Continue reading Chevy Racing–NASCAR–Charlotte–Kyle Larson

DOVER, Del. (October 1, 2017) – Chase Elliott looked to be on his way to his first career victory in the waning laps of the Apache Warrior 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race at Dover International Speedway, but a hard charging Kyle Busch (Toyota) eclipsed the young Chevy driver on the final lap to deny him his first MENCS victory. Elliott led three different times in his No. 24 NAPA Chevrolet SS for 138 laps, the most of any driver during the event. This marks Elliott’s fifth career runner-up finish in 70 Cup Series starts. The runner-up effort was his best finish in four races at the ‘Monster Mile.’ Continue reading CHASE ELLIOTT EARNS RUNNER-UP FINISH FOR CHEVY AT DOVER Five Chevrolet SS Drivers Finish in top 10

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT YOUR CAR HEADING INTO TOMORROW:
“Obviously, I would just like to be fast tomorrow and I think we’ve got our car driving a little better from what we had it yesterday, which is good. That was the goal there regardless of what the stopwatch said was just to try to get it driving better. I think we’ve got it closer. JAMIE MCMURRAY, NO. 1 GEARWRENCH CHEVROLET SS, met with members of the media at Dover International Speedway and discussed being in a cutoff position, the difficulty of Dover and many other topics. Full Transcript:

WHAT ABOUT THIS RACETRACK MAKES IT REALLY DIFFICULT TO BE FACING THAT AND THE CUTOFF AT THIS PARTICULAR TRACK?
“I don’t think anything sticks out at Dover. The one thing when I think about coming here even though it’s a 1-mile racetrack it’s really fast. It only takes 20, 22 seconds to go around here and this is one of those tracks that if you have to restart at the back the leaders come really quick. It seems like you run like 15 or 20 laps and all of a sudden, the leaders are already there starting to lap cars. So, it’s just one of those places that man, if your car is good it’s a lot of fun and if you get just a little bit off its maybe one of the toughest tracks we go to try and stay in front of the leader or try to maintain your position. It’s really fast and the surface of the track it doesn’t have bumps like we talk about at Charlotte or at Chicago or Pocono. It’s just those little expansion joints and they are just all the way around the race track and when the air pressure builds up in the tires it is just a really hard track to get a hold of.” Continue reading Chevy Racing–NASCAR–Dover–Jamie McMurray

AUSTIN DILLON: “I’m looking forward to it. It’s going to be a race within the race. You’ve got to be smart throughout and make sure you’re there at the end and put yourself in good positions. I’m looking forward to the challenge. It’s a little championship run here for all three of us (Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. Austin Dillon, and Ryan Newman) this race. KYLE LARSON, NO. 42 TARGET CHEVROLET SS – Finished 2nd
YOU HAD A HECK OF A RESTART THERE WITH 25 LAPS TO GO, BUT WHERE DID THE NO. 18 (KYLE BUSCH, RACE WINNER) ULTIMATELY HAVE YOU BEAT?
“I felt like on really long runs I was fairly equal to those guys in front of me. But, on the short run there, I could get pointed to the exit, but I couldn’t get the throttle down. I’d get loose. So, he just was really good. I think the No. 78 (Martin Truex, Jr.) was also really good, but he had his trouble. The No. 20 (Matt Kenseth) was also good. We were next best. So, we finished second again with our Target Chevy. That’s a lot of second-place finishes this year, but I’m fine with second. Top 5’s will get us to Homestead, so hats off to everybody on our Target team. The pit crew was great all day. I think we gained spots every time. Normally I’m struggling on short tracks, but this year we were pretty good.” Continue reading Chevy Racing–NASCAR–New Hampshire–Post Race
