SEASON IN REVIEW: 2025 Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series Produced Historic Moments with Rising Stars, Fan-Favorite Veterans

CONCORD, NC (November 26, 2025) – The fourth season of the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series presented by Toyota brought a season of firsts for many drivers and created historical markers in national competition.

Beginning at Farmer City Raceway and closing at Millbridge Speedway, nine drivers completed the full 23-race campaign, as eight parked a Midget in Victory Lane with the Series.

Here’s a look at the top moments from the season:

Denney’s Domination – Jacob Denney completed his first campaign with the Xtreme Outlaw Midgets at the top of the list in almost every category. Most wins (11). Most top fives (20). Most laps led (203). And he was the only driver to finish every race in the top-10. All of which led to him being crowned the Xtreme Outlaw Midgets 2025 champion.

His first season as the pilot of the JBL Audio No. 67 for Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports (KKM) began with a season-opening victory in the Illini 100. Then, he swept the Kansas weekend at Humboldt and 81 to start the year with three wins in the first four races.

The summer months showcased Denney’s true level of dominance, collecting seven wins from June to September, 12 podiums in 13 races, and the Appalachian Midget Week and Xtreme-POWRi Challenge Series championships.

He closed the season with two podiums in the final three races, with a season-finale win at Millbridge cementing his place as the 2025 Series champion. Adding a championship in the POWRi National Midget League, he’s helped KKM build to a total of 20 national titles.

Five Firsts – Though Denney attained a history-creating season in 2025, his win at Farmer City made him one of five drivers to win their first career Xtreme Outlaw Midget Feature in the calendar.

After Denney, Missouri’s Joe B. Miller became the second first-time winner, driving Tim Engler’s No. 7X to Victory Lane at Spoon River Speedway. Two weeks later, fellow “Show Me State” native Kameron Key took his No. 9U Trifecta Motorsports Midget Victory Lane during the Ironman 55 finale at I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park.

On the second night of Appalachian Midget Week, Kennedale, TX’s Kyle Jones snagged his first national Midget win at Linda’s Speedway as the second driver to win behind the wheel of the No. 7X machine. The final driver to earn first win honors went to Mooresville, NC’s Trevor Cline, who outdueled Denney in the final laps to score the Honest Abe Roofing Open Wheel Showdown triumph at Jacksonville Speedway.

Keith’s Big Three – While Denney carried the torch for KKM at the top of the standings in the 2025 Xtreme Outlaw Midget season, he was not the sole pilot to take the team to Victory Lane in 2025.

2024 Series champion Cannon McIntosh captured three wins between May and June, which include the Xtreme Outlaw Series’ debut at Airport Raceway, the inaugural King of Coles finale at Coles County Speedway, and the St. Louis Firecracker Faceoff at I-55. The Bixby, OK driver extended his lead in the all-time wins list to 14, leaving the 2025 calendar.

When he scored eight podiums in the first 12 races, the question of when Gavin Miller won his fourth Xtreme Outlaw Feature was prevalent. The moment came in the heart of his home state when the Allentown, PA driver dominated all 30 laps at Path Valley Speedway Park to tie former teammate Ryan Timms for seventh on the all-time list.

Veteran Farewell – Becoming the Xtreme Outlaw’s most experienced driver through 82 career appearances, Chase McDermand wrapped the bow on his full-time career behind the wheel of a Midget.

The Springfield, IL native spent the 2025 season as a first-time team owner for the Chase McDermand Racing (CMR) Toyota-powered No. 40. While it was the 24-year-old’s first season without winning a Feature, he visited the podium five times, earned 11 top fives, and drove to 19 top-10 finishes.

McDermand also fielded an occasional second Midget that Steven Snyder Jr filled for multiple races, including a night at Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway that saw Snyder earn High Point honors and lead the most laps in the Feature. Though McDermand announced a departure from a full-time driving career, he’ll wear the crew chief hat for CMR as he focuses on growing his business.

Rookie Six Pack – The Xtreme Outlaw Midgets provide a proving ground for dirt racing’s brightest stars to make their name on a national scale. Six drivers who joined the Series in 2025 were rookies who made up the majority of the top-10 in the final points standings.

Trifecta Motorsports turned an unlikely combination into a friendship as Kameron Key and Michael Faccinto joined the team for the season. While Key’s crown jewel win and five total podiums drove him to Rookie of the Year honors, California driver Michael Faccinto soaked in the input from Key and the Trifecta squad as he wheeled the No. 5U to fifth in the Series standings – wheeling towards five top fives and 14 top-10s.

KKM welcomed three drivers to its team in 2025, who hail from diverse racing backgrounds. Titusville, FL’s Colton Robinson took the No. 67K LynK Chassis to six Heat Race victories and 16 top-10 finishes. Spring Branch, TX driver Alex Karpowicz took nine top-10 finishes in the No. 72 Big Red Soap Toyota, including his first High Point award at Action Track USA. Sheffield, England’s Brandon Carr took on his first dirt racing season in the No. 98K after building his resumé through karting. While he posted eight top-10s and a high of fourth at Clyde Martin, Carr won his first career national Midget Feature with POWRi in October.

Huntersville, NC’s Hayden Wise put together multiple standout performances in her first full year racing Midgets. She had a career best performance at Clyde Martin, winning her first Smith Titanium Quick Time award and finishing on the podium. The 14-year-old rookie also led laps at Airport and Millbridge, with her season stats showing three top fives and 12 top 10s.

JOHN FORCE ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT AFTER UNPARALLELED NHRA CAREERWinningest driver in NHRA history officially hangs up his firesuit
YORBA LINDA, Calif. (Nov. 14, 2025) – Legendary drag racer John Force, 16-time Funny Car champion and the winningest driver in NHRA history, announced Thursday during a media luncheon at his race shop in Yorba Linda that he is officially retiring from competition 17 months after suffering injuries in a devastating crash during competition at Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie, Va. The numbers Force accumulated over a career that began in the 1970s speak for themselves: 16-time NHRA Funny Car Champion (1990-91, 1993-2002, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2013); 157 event wins; 269 final-round appearances; 166 No. 1 Qualifiers; 1,460 round wins in competition. “I really love NHRA but I am officially done with driving,” said Force. “I’ve said so many times, ‘Until this race car kills me, they’re gonna have to drag me out of the seat.’ But the truth is, I was dragged out of the seat at Richmond and they thought it killed me then. So, I’m lucky that I’m back walking. They always say never say never, but I have grandchildren with Courtney and Graham, with Ashley and Danny, and now Brittany’s retired because she wants to have children.” “It’s time for me to retire. I had medical stuff that I had to address and ‘do I want to get back in the car and get hit in the head,’ and I don’t. So, I guess it’s official, I’m done. I won’t say I won’t ever get in a car to warm it up or maybe even make a burnout. Don’t know. I guess it’ll be the response from the fans. If they cheer loud enough, I’ll hear ya.” Force will continue to oversee John Force Racing, the 23-time championship winning organization based in Brownsburg, Ind., and it’s three champion drivers: Brittany Force, two-time Top Fuel Champion who is fourth in the point standings in the Monster Energy dragster; Austin Prock, reigning Funny Car Champion who has a 101-point lead going into the Finals in the Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS Funny Car; and 2012 Funny Car Champion Jack Beckman who took over the driving duties for Force in the Peak Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet SS Funny Car and is third in the point standings. Brittany Force announced September 12 that she would be stepping away from competition at the end of this season to focus on starting a family with husband Bobby Lyons, Jr. John Force Racing announced Oct. 15 that five-year veteran Top Fuel driver Josh Hart will be driving for its Top Fuel team in 2026.  The luncheon was held to promote this weekend’s NHRA In-N-Out Burger NHRA Nationals at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip.

WHERE THE HEART IS: Creek County’s Evolution from Micro Sprint Hotspot to ASCS Homeland

SAPULPA, OK (Nov. 13, 2025) — Creek County Speedway has seen plenty of evolution in 40 years of operation, but one thing remains the same. It’s home for the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS).

It’s where owner/founder and former racer Emmett Hahn spawned the idea of the traveling Sprint Car tour. It’s where 34 Series events have taken place in the 34-year history of the country’s only national 360 Sprint Car organization. It’s where the 10th running of Fuzzy’s Fall Fling gets the green flag in the season finale for both the national Series and the ASCS Sooner Region this Friday–Saturday night.

And to think the idea of the track was born one night at nearby Port City Raceway.

“I was still racing at the big track then, and I had a pretty good following, and I had about 12 of my people and fans come out just to watch races,” Hahn said. “One of them had stopped by a convenience store and got a soft drink, and (the owner) wouldn’t let him in with that soft drink. And so, I thought, ‘You know, I think I can just build my own racetrack.’ So that’s the reason I bought it.”

In 1985, Hahn officially opened the track — originally named “66 Raceway Park” — as a 1/5-mile oval for Micro Sprint competition, and it didn’t take long for the track to establish itself as the place to race around the Tulsa area.

“I got a lot of cars,” Hahn said. “My first Fall Fling when I was running one class of Micros, I had 273 in one class.”

Six years after its establishment, Hahn began expansion of the track to its current 1/4-mile configuration, which was first raced in 1991. While the Micro Sprint division remained, Hahn’s aim was to attract a wider variety of cars and spectators.

“Me being smart — I thought well I’ll just build me a bigger track, and I can run bigger cars and make bigger money,” Hahn said with a laugh. “Never made much money after I made it bigger.”

Since then, the track has operated on a weekly basis for a variety of different car types including Modifieds, Street Stocks and more, in addition to nearly 100 ASCS events. For the 2025 season, Hahn turned the day-to-day operations of the facility over to grandson Matt Ward and his wife Ashleigh, who have been helping around the track for years in addition to their duties as directors of Hahn’s marquee Chili Bowl Nationals and Tulsa Shootout events.

As several others in the region will echo, there’s a reason the track has garnered continuous support for over four decades.

“It’s short bullring, it’s tight, and it just produces great racing here,” Ward said. “I just tell everybody to come out. If you want to see great racing, come here.”

The Wards spearheaded a renovation project at Creek County before the start of the 2025 weekly season that made several improvements to the property, including new lights in the pit area and around the racetrack, new poles, cables and fencing on the frontstretch and in front of the pit grandstands, new guardrails, added handrails in the main grandstands, and a new concession stand for alcoholic beverage sales — much to Hahn’s approval.

“We upgraded a lot of things in a short amount of time,” Ward said. “Thankfully, for a great team out here, we got them all accomplished. We still have some offseason projects this year that we’re gonna do, and we’re gonna continue to grow this place and improve it and carry on my family’s legacy here.”

“When we finished last year, they started tearing a lot of the stuff down because it had been there for a long time,” Hahn said. “They basically rebuilt that whole racetrack. New poles, new lights, new fence. They’ve really made some nice improvements on it and they’ve done a good job of running it this year. A real good job.”

This weekend, Creek County hosts one of the biggest events on its schedule in Fuzzy’s Fall Fling. It’s an event that not only caps the ASCS season but honors the life and legacy of Emmett Hahn’s wife, Wokeeta “Fuzzy” Hahn — one which Ward takes as much pride in putting on as any of his other involvements throughout the year.

“I want it to be where my grandpa can come out here and relax and enjoy himself,” Ward said. “I don’t want him stressing about what we need to do to the racetrack, or if this thing’s handled or that. I want everything do already be done so when he gets here and he comes and asks me or Ashleigh, we’re already there to tell him that it’s already handled and everything’s good to go.”

Hahn still projects his wife’s spirit around Creek County to this day. Her name was added to the Fall Fling event after her passing in 2021, honoring her dedication to her family’s beloved tradition of dirt track racing.

“They say, ‘Behind all men is a good woman.’ She worked out there every bit as hard as I did,” Hahn said. “She had a lot of good ideas. We thought we’d just name this Fall Fling after her.”

Tickets to the 10th running of Fuzzy’s Fall Fling will be sold at the track on race day. If you can’t be there, stream every lap live on DIRTVision.

Melanie Johnson Honors Family’s Farming Heritage at NHRA Finals in Pomona

POMONA, Calif. (Nov. 13, 2025) – This weekend at the NHRA Finals at In-N-Out Pomona Dragstrip, Top Alcohol Dragster driver Melanie Johnson will pay tribute to her family’s deep agricultural roots with a special Johnson Farms decal on the side of her dragster.

The moment carries extra meaning, not only does it mark the final race of the 2025 season, but also 30 years since her uncle, Blaine Johnson, earned his first Top Fuel win at the same event in Pomona back in 1995.

“My family has been farming on the Central Coast of California for four generations,” said Johnson. “My great-grandfather immigrated from Denmark and bought land in Santa Maria to start a dairy farm. Over time, the family transitioned to growing produce, most notably strawberries, and we’re proud to continue being stewards of the land today.”

The Johnson Farms decal design is inspired by the classic Johnson Racing logo that appeared on the Top Alcohol Dragster her father, Alan Johnson, and uncle Blaine raced together in the late ’80s and early ’90s.

This weekend, our family and friends will come together in Southern California once again to celebrate an incredible season and remember the legacy that brought us here.”

LOOKING BACK: 2025 World of Outlaws Year in Review

The tour’s 48th season of racing delivered plenty of memorable moments and noteworthy storylines

CONCORD, NC (November 13, 2025) – The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series season is a long and winding road.

A nine-month journey that annually takes the nation’s top Sprint Car talent to roughly 40 tracks in 20 states promises to be filled with memorable moments and fruitful storylines, and that was exactly the case in 2025.

From a teenager topping the sport’s biggest race to a driver in their 60s winning with a head-turning setup to a dominant year punctuated by a historic championship, this year delivered a little bit of everything.

Let’s look at some of the season’s top stories:

BACK-2-BACK: David Gravel finally secured his first World of Outlaws title in 2024 after so many years of trying, and it appears he was only getting started.

The Watertown, CT native and his Big Game Motorsports team came out even stronger in 2025. They opened the season with 14 consecutive top-five finishes, including five victories. They didn’t miss the top 10 until the 29th race of the campaign. When the year wrapped up, Gravel’s stat sheet showed 17 wins, 40 podiums, 56 top fives, 64 top 10s, and a 4.13 average finish in 68 starts.

That was more than enough to earn Gravel his second straight championship. He joined Steve Kinser, Sammy Swindell, Donny Schatz, Jason Meyers, and Brad Sweet as only the sixth competitor ever to go back-to-back. With a pair of titles and 120 victories on his résumé at only 33 years old, Gravel is well on his way to establishing himself as one of the best to ever get behind the wheel of a Sprint Car.

ROOKIE WAR: Announcements kept coming over the off-season that new drivers were signing on for their first World of Outlaws tour, assembling one of the most competitive rookie classes in Series history.

The final tally was seven as Cole Macedo, Garet Williamson, Chris Windom, Skylar Gee, Zach Hampton, Hunter Schuerenberg, and Conner Morrell readied to battle for the coveted Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year honor.

While none of them were able to pick off a Feature win, several had close calls. Macedo led laps twice. Morrell appeared bound for victory at Ohsweken before Gravel spoiled the party as Morrell settled for second. Williamson, Windom, and Gee all landed on the podium once.

Ultimately, consistency carried Williamson to earning the Rookie of the Year. Windom led for much of the season’s first half, but a solid summer stretch of nine top 10s in 13 races helped Williamson take the top spot and pull away. The Columbia, MO native ended the year with seven top fives and 26 top 10s aboard the Fischer Motorsports No. 23 and forever cemented his name in the history books.

RIVALRY REKINDLED: Sprint Car fans rejoiced when it was announced that Joe Gibbs would be allowing his drivers to dabble in the dirt again. This meant Christopher Bell could return to his roots and rekindle his rivalry with Kyle Larson. It didn’t take long for the duo to deliver.

The second night of the season at Volusia Speedway Park’s Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals came down to the wire between Bell and Larson. Bell was aboard Pennsylvania’s famous Kreitz Racing No. 69K while Larson wheeled the familiar Silva Motorsports No. 57. Bell led when the white flag waved, and Larson got a run coming to the checkered flag, but it wasn’t quite enough as Bell held on in a finish that brought the fans to their feet.

Bell won the battle, but it was Larson triumphing in the war as he went on to win the next two nights and add the Big Gator championship trophy to his collection.

COMING BACK TO CANADA: After eight years away, opportunity opened for the World of Outlaws to return to Canada in 2025.

The always exciting Ohsweken Speedway in Ontario welcomed the tour back for two nights of midweek May action. Fans packed the stands, and a healthy field of more than 30 Sprint Cars filled the pit area.

The weekend belonged to David Gravel who broke out the broom and swept both nights. While Gravel might’ve won, regulars in the region had their share of the spotlight as Harding, PA’s Jordan Thomas made the trip across the border and led laps of the opener before finishing fifth. The following night, it was Canada’s own Dylan Westbrook pacing 14 circuits before a podium result.

BUDDY’S BOOMING BANK: The 2025 BillionAuto.com Huset’s High Bank Nationals is a week that Michael “Buddy” Kofoid will never forget.

The two events in one began with the Huset’s Hustle on June 18-19. A podium on night one positioned him well for the next night when he won and pocketed $100,000. The next two nights brought the High Bank Nationals, and Kofoid finished second in the prelim before winning the finale and banking a massive $250,000 paycheck. He became only the third driver in Sprint Car history to earn a pair of six-figure paydays in the same week, joining Brent Marks and David Gravel.

It also put the finishing touches on Kofoid’s tale of redemption at Huset’s with the Roth Motorsports crew. Two years ago, when they’d just partnered, Kofoid lost an engine while leading with less than 10 laps to go for $250,000. Since then, the Brandon, SD track has hosted a trio of six-figure races, and Kofoid and the No. 83 team have taken all of them.

SHOCKING THE WORLD: An 18-year-old winning the sport’s biggest race likely wasn’t on anyone’s bingo card to start 2025, but that’s exactly what happened.

Teenager Ryan Timms looked like the most poised of veterans all week long at the 64th running of the NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s. It began with a drive from eighth to victory on his prelim night with the Liebig Motorsports crew. That lined him up on the pole for Saturday’s finale, and Timms put together a flawless 50 laps to become a Knoxville Nationals champion.

The Oklahoman became the second youngest winner of the event, trailing only Kenny Weld. Timms is also the only driver that can claim their first official World of Outlaws Feature victory is the Knoxville Nationals.

END OF AN ERA: The Sprint Car world was rocked in August when it was announced that Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing (TSR) would be parting ways.

Since joining forces in 2008, the pairing amassed eight World of Outlaws titles, 234 Series victories, nine Knoxville Nationals, five Kings Royals, and a pair of National Opens. It’s undoubtedly one of the most dominant driver-team combinations in Sprint Car history.

But after more than half a season combatting struggles, the two sides went different directions after the Knoxville Nationals. TSR hired Kerry Madsen to complete the campaign. Schatz drove for Tod Quiring, Dave Lunstra, and Kevin Kozlowski over the next month before climbing aboard a second Sides Motorsports entry for the final 11 races of his 29th World of Outlaws season.

Schatz ended the season winless for the first time since his rookie season in 1997.

61 YEARS YOUNG: Fans saw history made on a late October Saturday at Sharon Speedway.

The Blaney family owns and operates the northeastern Ohio oval, and Dave Blaney put brother Dale Blaney behind the wheel of his famed No. 10 for the World of Outlaws tilt. With an experimental setup obvious to the eye, the “Low Rider” put on a show. He drove from fifth to victory, holding off Buddy Kofoid for a popular win at Blaney’s home track.

It marked Dale’s first World of Outlaws score in a decade, and at 61 years of age, he became the oldest driver to win a World of Outlaws race.

FINISHING STRONG: Schatz and TSR’s split wasn’t the only silly season news to shock the sport during the year. In September, Sheldon Haudenschild announced that he’d be departing Stenhouse Jr.-Marshall Racing (SJMR) after his eighth season with the team concluded.

That didn’t slow Haudenschild over the last couple months of the campaign as he aimed to finish his SJMR tenure strong. Haudenschild bagged the final leg of Sprint Car racing’s triple crown in October, winning $75,000 at Williams Grove Speedway’s National Open. Four races later, Haudenschild took the NOS Energy Drink No. 17 to Victory Lane again at Angell Park Speedway.

Haudenschild finished up the year fifth in points, his fourth time in the top five. The Wooster, OH native ended his time with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Richard and Jennifer Marshall’s team with 46 checkered flags. Spencer Bayston is set to move to SJMR in 2026, while Haudenschild has yet to reveal his plans.

POSSE PREVAIL: The World of Outlaws had gotten the better of the Pennsylvania Posse in 2023 and 2024, but the “Keystone State” turned the tides in 2025.

Mother Nature limited the rivalry to six battles, and the Posse topped four of them to the World of Outlaws’ two. The Posse can largely thank Anthony Macri for the upper hand. The Dillsburg, PA driver was responsible for three of the four scores with wins at Williams Grove Speedway in May, BAPS Motor Speedway in July, and Lincoln Speedway in October.

The one other Posse triumph came courtesy of Chase Dietz, who earned his first World of Outlaws Feature victory at October’s National Open prelim.

BECKMAN SEEKS SECRET MENU 5×5 AT In-N-Out BURGER NHRA FINALS

Photography: John Force Racing / Gary Nastase / Auto Imagery

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (Nov. 12, 2025) – John Force Racing’s PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet SS Funny Car team is focused on serving up an incredibly unique win with driver Jack Beckman at the Nov. 13-16 In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals, a feat that could come straight out of the legendary burger joint’s secret menu.

The 2012 NHRA Funny Car Champion, currently third in the 2025 point standings, is seeking a fifth straight win at his home track, In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip. Beckman won the 2019 Finals and the 2020 Winternationals but there was no race at Pomona in the fall of 2020 because of the COVID pandemic. He sat out the next three seasons so his next Pomona appearance wasn’t until the 2024 Finals, which he won John Force Racing, and then he won this year’s Winternationals.  So, though it’s taken seven years, Fast Jack has four straight wins at Pomona and is working on five as the defending race champion.

The 2025 NHRA Funny Car point standings heading into the season finale are: Austin Prock, 2,594; Matt Hagan, 2,493; Jack Beckman, 2,416; Ron Capps, 2,370; Daniel Wilkerson, 2,369; Paul Lee, 2,289; Chad Green, 2,288; Cruz Pedregon, 2,283; Spencer Hyde, 2,272; Bob Tasca III (2,264).

Notes

  • Fast Jack has earned the Funny Car No. 1 Qualifier four times at In-N-Out Pomona Dragway, three in the Finals (2006, 2016, 2017) and the 2016 Winternationals.
  • Beckman’s two NHRA Sportsman wins also came at In-N-Out Pomona Dragstrip, both in Super Comp at the Winternationals (1998 and 2003).
  • John Force Racing drivers have won 34 times at Pomona … 31 times in Funny Car, twice in Top Fuel (Brittany Force, 2017; Austin Prock, 2022) and once in Top Alcohol Dragster (Ashley Force Hood, 2004) … 15 of those wins have come in the Finals

Quotes

What are your memories of last year’s Finals win against your teammate?

“Pomona is a unique race in that there’s no permanent lighting there, so they have to bring temporary lighting. NHRA tries to have the final rounds wrapped up well before sunset, but they didn’t last year. We got delayed and delayed. It was well into night when we ran that final, and the track was getting cool to the point that it was getting outside of our data set. I think that affected Austin’s car. They went out there and shook and he had to lift, and I went the quickest run in my career on that pass, so it was kind of a icing on the cake, not just to close the season, but do it with a career-best run.”

You’re now just 67 back of Hagen and with points and a half. What would it mean to you to get past to get back around him and to wrap up your season?

“Well, I’m still stinging about Las Vegas because we shouldn’t be 67 points behind him. My reaction times the last two or three races have been subpar. I think we’ve had a PEAK Chevy that could win any of those races and we didn’t so it would mean some redemption for me after putting us in a tough position. Even with points-and-a-half at Pomona, Hagan’s still more than two rounds ahead of us unless we can gather back at least eight points on him in qualifying, which is a pretty full order. So, at the end of the day, unless we race him in the first or second round, we can’t control whether we get around him in the points, so our goal is just to race smart and leave with a trophy.”

With this being Britney’s last race, reflect on her as a teammate and what she’s meant to the NHRA during her career?

“Let me describe the character of Britney: I’ll go back to the Dallas event in 2024, where Sunday morning I spent all day in the emergency room with vertigo and never even went out to the racetrack. I wasn’t able to show up for first round and Brittany went up there and stood in the lane I would’ve been in for the first round as a show of support. She’s a class act. I wish her and Bobby well in whatever they do from this point on. I would love to see her in some way, shape or form to still be involved with JFR and maybe come to a couple of races a year. She’s been an awesome teammate. I loved watching her win last event in Las Vegas, because you never know if your last win was your last win, but what a great way for her to wind down what’s been a double championship career. She’s got one more shot at a win, and I like nothing more than to stand in the winner’s circle with both of us holding trophies at Pomona.”

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (Nov. 12, 2025) – Austin Prock and his John Force Racing Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS Funny Car team roll into In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragway for the Nov. 13-16 In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals with the exact same approach they started the season with back in March at Gainesville: turn on the win light every pass down the track and take home a second consecutive NHRA Funny Car Championship.

The reigning champion has a 101-point lead on the strength of nine event wins, three runner-up finishes and seven No. 1 qualifying positions in the previous 19 races of the 2025 season. Those stats merely add to last year’s championship stats when he won eight races, finished runner-up four times, and was the No. 1 Qualifier a record 15 times … in his rookie Funny Car season.

The 2025 NHRA Funny Car point standings heading into the season finale are: Austin Prock, 2,594; Matt Hagan, 2,493; Jack Beckman, 2,416; Ron Capps, 2,370; Daniel Wilkerson, 2,369; Paul Lee, 2,289; Chad Green, 2,288; Cruz Pedregon, 2,283; Spencer Hyde, 2,272; Bob Tasca III (2,264).

Notes

  • No matter what Matt Hagan does, Prock can wrap up his second straight championship by reaching the semifinals at the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals.
  • Prock had earned the No. 1 qualifier in his last two appearances at Pomona and is the track record holder for ET (3.804 seconds) and speed (341.68 mph), standards he established at last year’s Finals.  The speed is the national record as well.
  • John Force Racing drivers have won 34 times at Pomona … 31 times in Funny Car, twice in Top Fuel (Brittany Force, 2017; Austin Prock, 2022) and once in Top Alcohol Dragster (Ashley Force Hood, 2004) … 15 of those wins have come in the Finals.

Quotes

With a win and four runner-up finishes at Pomona since just 2019, what is it that’s created the strong list of runs there so early in your career?

“I’ve got a pretty good streak of efforts there. Obviously, I’d like all those runner-up finishes to be wins but our package in both Top Fuel and in Funny Car has been really good there and that place has a special place in my heart. As a kid growing up around the sport, it was always a treat to go out to Pomona, California, and see my dad or family race for a world championship. I’d be plenty happy with at least a runner-up finish there this year to solidify us as world champion so, hopefully, we can have another strong effort there this year.”

Have you put the runner-up finish at Las Vegas behind you or are you using it as is fuel for Pomona?

“Well, it definitely stung not getting the win. Like I said afterward, that would’ve wrapped pretty much wrapped up the championship. So, the fact that we have to go into Pomona and make sure we don’t stumble is a little bit more stressful than we’d like, but we still do have a 101-point lead.  In any other circumstance that you rolled into Pomona with a 101-point lead, you’d be ecstatic, but the fact that we had the opportunity to just put it to bed and we missed it just stinks. But it is behind us. All we can do is just keep moving forward. I mean, what we did at Dallas was exactly what we needed to. We just missed the final little cherry on top. Matt Hagan’s team did an outstanding job. I had a gut feeling rolling in there that morning that we were going to have to go to the finals because Hagan was going to the finals and it worked out just how I thought it would and just come up short. That was just one of those runs that just wasn’t meant to be. I feel like if we could drag it back up there, it would go right down the racetrack, so I don’t think we need to change our approach or anything.”

What would it mean to you and your team to win back-to-back championships?

“It would be huge, and it would put me in a pretty elite group of NHRA drivers to win back-to-back championships. I think there’s only seven pro drivers that have ever done it, or I would be the seventh, so that’s a pretty huge accolade that would really boost my career. But it’s every guy on this team. Everyone but one is the same as last year so to add that to their résumé would be unbelievable. I’m really proud of the team and the fact that we even are in the talk of becoming two-time world champs Is pretty incredible. I thought a lot last week in Las Vegas that the pressure you feel when you’re racing for these championships is a privilege. Kids just dream of trying to be in a position like this and the fact that we’re looking at possible back -to-back years is a pretty cool feeling.”

What are your thoughts about Brittany Force as a teammate and what she’s meant to the NHRA?

“She’s huge in NHRA. She’s got the last name, she’s the winningest female in the in the history of Top Fuel and is a two-time world champion and she’s been a great teammate to me. I don’t know what driving one of these race cars is like without her by my side. She was my first teammate, and she’s been my teammate ever since and we’ve you become great friends.  I’m going to miss seeing her at the racetrack. I’m going to miss our conversations, and the sport is going to feel her absence. I don’t know if everyone quite understands the impact that she has on the sport. I go to appearances with her, and people lose their mind to see Britney Force. So yeah, it’s going be different. I’m not looking forward to not having her by my side signing autographs and cracking jokes. It’s going to be different, but change is good sometimes and I’m excited for what’s coming in her life because she’s going to be a great mother.”

FORCE’S FINAL FINALS OF A FANTASTIC CAREER

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (Nov. 12, 2025) – Brittany Force will step out of the seat of her Monster Energy Top Fuel Dragster for the final time at the conclusion of the Nov. 13-16 In-N-Out Burger NHRA Nationals at her home track In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragway to blaze a new personal path with her husband Bobby but the accomplishments she achieved with her John Force Racing team will be etched in the history books.

Here are just some of the statistics: two-time NHRA Top Fuel Champion (2017, 2022); 2013 NHRA Rookie of the Year; 19 event titles, making her the winningest female Top Fuel driver in NHRA history; 21 runner-up finishes; 319 round wins; the elapsed time national record (3.623 seconds); the national record speed (343.51 mph); the first driver in NHRA history to eclipse 340 mph (April 25, 2025); 12 runs at more than 340 mph; reset the national speed record four times in 2025 alone.

She has one more race at Pomona Dragway, where it all began, to add to those already amazing numbers.

The 2025 NHRA Top Fuel point standings heading into the season finale are: Doug Kalitta, 2,607; Shawn Langdon, 2,463; Justin Ashley, 2,444, Brittany Force, 2,415; Tony Stewart, 2,364; Clay Milliken, 2,335; Steve Torrence, 2,297; Shawn Reed, 2,290; Antron Brown, 2,275; Josh Hart, 2,185.

Quotes

What are your thoughts about the Las Vegas win, making you the winningest female Top Fuel driver ever, now that you’ve had some time to reflect on it?

Our victory in Las Vegas marked my 19th career win making me the winningest female in Top Fuel history. I’m so proud to share such a monumental win with my team and to have made a little bit of history last weekend. Becoming the winningest female in Top Fuel really makes me reflect on my career and how far I’ve come. 2013 was my rookie season and to now fast forward to 2 champions and 19 wins is unreal. I’m very thankful for my team, my family, the sponsors, JFR, NHRA and the racing community for making that possible.

You’re now just 48 points behind Langdon for 2nd place so talk about what it would mean to you and your team to achieve that position in the point standings?

My team’s goal has been to finish the 2025 season strong. Winning Las Vegas, our goal was met, but we still have one race left at the final race in Pomona. Our plan remains the same: to qualify in the Top 3 and to turn four win lights on on race day.

What would a win at Pomona, your first home track, mean to you to close out at least the first part of your career?

A win in Pomona would be icing on the cake to an amazing 13-year ride. I don’t know what the future holds for me, but I know I’m leaving the door open to driving in the future. That is a decision ahead of me, once I get there. But finishing with a win at my home track would be incredibly special, and that is exactly what we will be chasing down.

From a competition standpoint, will it be the two championships, the 19 or 20 wins, or the 340+ mph runs that people will remember most about you?

I hope, more than wins, people remember me as one of their favorite drivers … a driver who inspired people by driving my race car and doing what I love.
