Smart Drive At Dover Earns Blaney An Advance To The Round Of 12

It wasn’t pretty for Ryan Blaney and the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane team in Sunday’s Apache Warrior 400 at Dover International Speedway, but it was mission accomplished as they will advance to the Monster Energy Cup Playoff Round of 12 despite a 23rd-place finish.

Blaney Dominates Practice, First Two Rounds Of Qualifying At Michigan; Winds Up In 12th Place

Ryan Blaney and the No. 21 Motorcraft/SKF team were a couple of bobbles away from sweeping the day on Friday at Michigan International Speedway.

Blaney was fastest in practice with a best lap at 203.591 miles per hour. Then in qualifying, he topped the first two rounds with laps at 201.686 mph in the first round and 203.120 mph in the second. Blaney Finishes 11th In Fog-Shortened Race At Pocono

Ryan Blaney and the Motorcraft/Quick Lane team came away from a crazy day at Pocono Raceway with an 11th-place finish that keeps them in the hunt for a berth in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, which begins after five more regular-season races. He is now tied with Trevor Bayne for 17th place in the points standings.

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – July 23, 2016 – Lance Dewease’s World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series victory in the the Champion Racing Oil Summer Nationals finale at Williams Grove Speedway on Saturday night took a lot of hard work and a little good luck.

Dewease, who spent much of the first two-thirds of the feature looking for a line around Joey Saldana, battled to the lead on one restart, had do it again after the caution flew before a lap was completed and then, after the caution flew on the final lap for Aaron Ott, who spun near the start/finish line, ran out of fuel as the open red was called. ATTICA, Ohio – July 12, 2016 – It was a battle between the All-Star Circuit of Champions regulars and World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series regulars in Tuesday night’s Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic at Attica Raceway Park as Donny Schatz charged forward and persevered to score his 14th series win of the season.

It was Schatz’s first win at Attica since 2011.

Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup Returns in 2016 to Historic Single Race Format

Lernerville Speedway adds World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Commonwealth Clash to 2016 schedule

SARVER, Pa. – July 12, 2016 – The Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville Speedway celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2016 with a return to its historic single-feature format.

The Silver Cup, one of the marquee events on the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series schedule, takes on the high-banked, 4/10 mile oval in Western Pennsylvania on Tuesday, July 19. The event, which since 2009 had twin features, will return to a single, 40-lap, $25,000-to-win feature.

“We are excited to celebrate the 25th year of the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup and continue to build the great legacy of this great event,” said Lernerville Speedway General Manager Gary Risch Jr. “Annually, the Silver Cup is one of the most competitive events on the World of Outlaws schedule with eight different winners in the last 10 features. We look forward to seeing the ‘Greatest Show on Dirt’ back in action at Lernerville.”

The World of Outlaws will make a second trip to Lernerville Speedway in 2016 on Saturday, Sept. 24. The Commonwealth Clash was last on the series schedule in 2014. Joey Saldana led a dominating performance of the event that night.

“In the 36 years since the founding of the World of Outlaws, a lot has changed. What hasn’t changed since the beginning is our great relationship with Lernerville Speedway,” said World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Director Carlton Reimers. “The Silver Cup and Commonwealth Clash promise another year of exciting racing and can’t miss finishes.”
