DETROIT (Jan. 29, 2016) – Chevrolet and Corvette Racing have a busy next few days ahead at the 54th Rolex 24 At Daytona… on and off the track. In addition to opening the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) season, Chevy and its flagship sports car brand will welcome its loyal fans at multiple attractions around Daytona International Speedway.

The Rolex 24 marks the opening of the Chevrolet Injector inside Daytona Rising, an extensive redevelopment program at DIS that has transformed the facility into the world’s first motorsports stadium. As a founding partner, Chevrolet has one of five fan “injectors” that will play host to spectators beginning Friday.

Upon entering the Chevrolet Injector, fans can explore more than 20,000 square feet of Chevrolet display space and interactive attractions. Product specialists will be on-hand to answer questions about any Chevrolet model present.

“The opening of our Chevrolet Injector at Daytona Rising is a huge part of our Rolex 24 weekend,” said Jeff Chew, Manager, Strategic Planning & Operations for Chevrolet Racing. “We are excited to provide our fans a new avenue to get to know all that Chevrolet offers. This is another significant chapter in Chevrolet’s long history at Daytona.”

Among the vehicles on display in the Chevrolet Injector include the Chevrolet Camaro, the 2016 Motor Trend Car of the Year; and the Chevrolet Colorado, the 2016 Motor Trend Truck of the year.

Other 2016 models include Corvette Stingray and Z06, Volt, Silverado, Malibu, Tahoe, Traverse, Impala, SS and Equinox. Special vehicles present are a Jeff Gordon Chevrolet SS from the SEMA Show and a 1971 Jimmie Johnson Corvette.

The Chevrolet Injector opens to the public at 9 a.m., Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m. on Sunday.

Likewise in the Daytona infield, fans can see even more Chevrolet products at the Corvette Racing Display. Among the attractions include additional 2016 Chevrolet production models such as Silverado, Impala, Tahoe, Traverse, Colorado, Equinox, Camaro, SS, Trax and of course Corvette.

Specialty vehicles include a Chevrolet Corvette C7.R showcar and a Corvette Z06 chassis.

Also on display will be samples of Chevrolet engines, performance parts and accessories available to fans for purchase from their local Chevrolet dealer. A variety of interactive games for adults and kids will be present, and all fans who sign up with Corvette Racing will receive a commemorative t-shirt.
