Max-D Doubles Down Moving Into the Lead of the Monster Jam FOX Sports 1 Championship Series

Anaheim, CA (February 8, 2015) – It was a beautiful night at Angels Stadium filled with close races, huge freestyle air, and a celebrity guest stunt from Fantasy Factory’s Rob Dyrdek. Max-DSM could not be stopped as it doubled down winning racing and freestyle, and now sits on the top of the Monster Jam® Fox Sports 1 Championship Series points. Lucas Oil Crusader® moved to second place in the series standings.

Grave Digger® qualified first, gaining a point and is tied for third with Monster Energy. Zombie® pulled off its third Monster Jam Obstacle Course win and added another point to his overall score. But tonight, it was Max-D who dominated racing defeating Monster Mutt®, Titan and Grave Digger in the final round to win the Monster Jam Racing Championship and 2 points.

It didn’t end there for Max-D. Not only did Max-D have big air and a great freestyle run, but Max-D had two huge saves that catapulted it to the hot seat with a 37. Max-D held onto the lead for the rest of the night, winning the Monster Jam Freestyle competition, doubled down, grabbed a total of four points in the series, and now holds on to the top spot of the series.

“The year started off a little slow, but everything about the truck is on point now thanks to my crew,” said Max-D driver Neil Elliott. “The series is still up for grabs, but I plan on doing what I can to hold on to the Monster Jam Fox Sports 1 Series lead.”

On the line for the 16 Monster Jam trucks at the end of the 9-city Monster Jam FOX Sports 1 Championship Series are four automatic bids to Monster Jam World FinalsSM XVI at Las Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium on March 26-28, and the first ever series championship.
