| DETROIT (Sept. 15, 2026) – Cadillac Racing has had nine straight podium finishes with five wins and is looking to make it 10 straight on September 20, in the TireRack.com Battle at the Bricks at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This year’s event presents a new challenge for all drivers and teams. Unlike in 2024 and 2025 at Indianapolis, which consisted of a six-hour event, this year’s race will be a 2-hour and 40-minute “sprint race.” Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing with the No. 10 (Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque) and No. 40 (Jordan Taylor and Louis Deletraz) are looking to further their momentum from early August at Road America. The No. 10 led 36 laps en route to victory at Road America while the No. 40 led 24 circuits. It was the 36th victory for Cadillac and 54th IMSA class win for Wayne Taylor Racing which broke a tie with Brumos Racing and Champion Racing for sixth most all-time. The victory was the 14th IMSA class win for Albuquerque, with his last win coming at the 2024 Detroit Street race in GTP. There were 20 starts between wins, breaking his longest career winless streak. It was his second win at Road America. For Ricky Taylor, it was his 33rd IMSA class triumph and like Albuquerque, the Detroit Street win broke his longest career winless streak – also 20 races. This was his third victory at Road America. Jack Aitken and Earl Bamber, drivers of the No. No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R had their nine-race podium streak broken at Road America, but now they go back to where it started as they are the defending winners of the Battle at the Bricks along with Fredrick Vesti. Aitken still leads the driver point standings by 118 points over Laurin Heinrich while the Whelen Cadillac team has a 185-point lead over the No. 93 Acura. Cadillac also leads the manufacturer standings by 112 points over Porsche. The two-hour, 40-minute race starts at 3:10 pm EDT on September 20 and will be broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock and IMSA’s YouTube page (outside United States). | What they’re saying For the Wayne Taylor Group, heading into the last sprint race of the season, what have you learned over the course of the season with the V-Series.R to apply to the final sprint race? No. 10 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R Ricky Taylor: “We learn every weekend about the V-Series.R and it’s really nice to go into our second year where we have some data points from last year to build on. I’d say the biggest thing we’ve learned is just our level of confidence with what changes do what, what gets the most performance out of the car in different situations. So, I think just our ability to adapt is better. The car has a lot of tools to allow it to do lots of really amazing things and we have been learning how to unlock them.” Filipe Albuquerque: “To be honest, I learned more than I was expecting. Cadillac expects us to win. We are a good team, and we have had a bit difficulty to reach the top performance that we would ideally want. But it’s interesting. These cars are complex, and we keep learning and we are closing the gap. I think joining a program, a couple of years later, and learning, you come from zero. The Cadillac Racing group have been patient and have been waiting for us to close the gap, and we’re getting there. The 31 is in the title fight, and as one team, we like to think that we contributed in a way. Hopefully they get the title this year and that we’re going to be fighting for it next year. And, we are coming from three wins in a row for Cadillac, that’s something.” |
| No. 40 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R Louis Deletraz: “I think it’s very clear that since we started in 2025 with Cadillac, we’ve really discovered a lot about this car. We now understand it a lot better. I think we are very happy in the position we are now. And obviously all the set up work and also the gelling between all the people together with Cadillac, Action Express Racing, JOTA and all the drivers. It’s been great to have the five cars on track, training set, and working together. It’s been a big help for the program just to work together every weekend. We have two more races, let’s see what else we can accomplish for Cadillac.” Jordan Taylor: “I think every time we’re in this car, we’re learning something new. With the Road Atlanta test last week, we learned a lot of stuff that we can even use at Indy. I think every time you can kind of get in this car new developments are being made. From the driver’s side, engineering side, software side, there’s so many aspects to such a complicated car like the V-Series.R and the developments kind of never end.” |

Earl Bamber: “Yeah, I mean, looking forward to, I guess, getting back into the battle of it. We had an amazing run on the podium nearly for one year straight with the IMSA calendar, so it’s been an amazing job by the by the Whelen Cadillac team. Obviously, the last race didn’t really go the way we’d planned it or expected it, but we were still in the fight to win the race at one stage at the end there and then obviously to be on the podium again. So yeah, looking forward to sort of more success like we had at Indy. Indy’s typically been always pretty strong track for the 31 car as well so looking forward to that. Jack (Aitken) and myself are also coming off the back of a really good weekend with second at the World Endurance Championship race at COTA. So there’s just really good momentum in the program at the moment and obviously the 31 didn’t win but the No. 10 car got its first win with Cadillac. So yeah, just really great momentum in the program.” Jack Aitken: “I’m looking forward to being back at Indy, home to the start of our podium streak and a fantastic result for Cadillac last year. It’s a track that we’ve run well at and I’d expect the same coming into this year’s edition, so we’ll be aiming for the win like always.” |
