CORVETTE RACING AT CTMP: Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports finishes fourth in Canada

Chevrolet still leads GTD PRO Manufacturers point standings BOWMANVILLE, Ontario, Canada (July 12, 2026) – Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports’ No. 4 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R finished fourth in the IMSA GTD PRO class in Sunday’s Chevrolet Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.  Tommy Milner and Nicky Catsburg drove to one spot outside the class podium while their teammates – Antonio Garcia and Alexander Sims – finished ninth in class in the No. 3 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R. The result for the No. 4 Corvette was good enough to keep Chevrolet in the lead of the Manufacturers Championship points standings in GTD PRO, leading BMW by 47 points.
Giacomo Altoe and Casper Steveson, drivers of the No. 81 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R for DragonSpeed finished 10th in the GTD class despite a mid-race, drive-through penalty for jumping a restart. Matt Bell and Orey Fidani, drivers of the No. 13 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R for 13 Autosport, finished 12th in class. Mason Filippi and Robert Wickens, drivers of the No. 36 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R for DXDT Racing finished 13th in class. They lost time early in the pits when a throttle-return spring fell off during a stop and had to be repaired. When the car resumed in the race, it was two laps down.  The next IMSA event is the Motul SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix from Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin on Sunday, August 2. The six-hour race starts at 10:40 am CDT and will be streamed on Peacock and streamed on IMSA’s YouTube page (outside United States). IMSA Radio will stream live audio coverage on XM 206, Channel 996 on the SiriusXM app and IMSA.com.
CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R POST-QUALIFYING DRIVER QUOTES
ANTONIO GARCIA, NO. 3 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “It felt like we couldn’t race anyone. If we had track position, we could have probably stayed there. We had a slow stop under yellow, which killed us. We lost three to four seconds and then leaving the box. From being P2 coming in, we left the box last and we lost all of the track position we had in qualifying. I think we had decent pace, but it feels like we cannot really race anyone. It’s difficult to pass. It’s super difficult. It’s impossible to pass. So, it’s difficult to do anything different to go forward. Once we’re stuck to that strategy, everybody kind of ran the same thing, so we couldn’t really do much more, unfortunately.”
ALEXANDER SIMS, NO. 3 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “That was quite a frustrating day to be honest. The Corvette was working well. We had good pace, but everybody was on a fuel save in the first stint, and we couldn’t pass even when pushing. We didn’t have the speed in the right places, but the Corvette was very fast over a lap. Held position nicely in that first stint, and then then unfortunately in that first pit stop, we had a slow rear-left change that cost us track position when the field is so condensed pitting under yellow. And I think unfortunately that also impacted the No. 4 a bit as well. So, once we cycled back because of that with just one more stop to make in the race that was the situation we got stuck with. A shame for the Pratt Miller guys because we put in a lot of effort. The pace we showed in qualifying and in the race deserved better, but that’s where racing goes sometimes. You don’t get the result that you want. Got to take it on the chin and bounce back at Road America.”
TOMMY MILNER, NO. 4 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “Yeah, a little up and down, honestly. Our very crucial driver change was not very good. I couldn’t get the belts done, so that was not to plan. But in the end, it worked out fine. The yellow flag came at a good time for us and let us catch back up. So in reality, we didn’t really lose anything. We may have been able to be a little bit better to jump the Lamborghini instead, but again, it didn’t really change our race so much. Just happy to finish fourth here. Obviously, if it wasn’t looking good after the pit stop, but some great strategy calls, things going our way a little bit, and a good pace in the Corvette at the end. So, I was able to hit the fuel number that I was that was needed and the pace was good. Wish we could have been on the podium, but with a day like today, we should be happy with that.”
NICKY CATSBURG, NO. 4 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “Good day for us today. Fourth was okay for the championship, it’s just the No. 1 BMW that we are losing points too. Everywhere else, I think we did great. The guys in pit lane, they’re great. They made a good call doing a bit of a short fill to pass the No. 65 Ford. Tommy did great saving fuel. We had awesome pace and honestly, a pretty decent day. I think we kind of maximized. We had the hiccup in the driver change. We got unlucky a little bit with one pushback situation where we lost some time. I think otherwise we could have realistically fought for P3, but those guys seem to be a little bit too fast for us. But yeah, a good day.”
MASON FILIPPI, NO. 36 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “Our Corvette had good pace out there. It’s really good around Mosport. It’s definitely a really, really fun track in in this car and I enjoyed those few laps that we did. Bummer on the throttle spring. I think about all the work of this team has put in to get us here to this point and be ready. It has been a lot, so they deserve a result with a fast car. We’ll be ready for Road America in a couple of weeks.”
ROBERT WICKENS, NO. 36 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “Yeah, it’s tough. You know, I think the car was really strong. Mason had a good opening stint, keeping us in contention. At our driver change, of all things (you know, we live and we learn) but my legs hit my throttle spring, and it either broke it or popped it off. So, I had no throttle return, The throttle would just stick full throttle, and I had to manually basically take it away to zero or put it to full. Then, we had to obviously come in to fix it and unfortunately, it went back to green and by the time we got it repaired we were two laps down. The last six years this race has gone yellow in the final hour and then when we need the yellow it didn’t happen, but we were two laps down and it wouldn’t change much. Just gutted. I felt like our performance was strong. I felt great in the car. Mason did a great job. The performance was there. Just kind of random events. Still some positives. It was good just to get behind the wheel. It’s never fun driving around two laps down, not in contention for anything. I tried to stay out of people’s way and just learn what I could.”

CASPER STEVENSON, NO. 81 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “It was a positive race in many ways. Unfortunately the drive-through took us out of the top-five fight, and then with the lack of the yellows it was hard to come back. But the potential was clear, so looking forward to the next one.”
