RETAKES POINTS LEAD IN NTT INDYCAR SERIES
DETROIT – Will Power led 55 of 70 laps in today’s Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix to capture his 26th career win, his third on the Island and the magical 100th victory in 170 races for Chevrolet’s 2.2 liter, twin turbocharged direct injected V6 engine.
Today’s win was a proper send-off from Belle Isle as the Detroit stop on the schedule moves to downtown next season.
It is the 2014 NTT INDYCAR Series champion’s first win of the season behind the wheel of his familiar No.12 Verizon 5G Team Penske Chevrolet, and the fifth of the season for Team Chevy.
