BRITTANY FORCE AND FLAV-R-PAC CONTINUING MOMENTUM INTO NHRA THUNDER VALLEY NATIONALS

BRISTOL, Tenn. (Oct. 13, 2021) – With three races left in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series Countdown to the Championship and currently No. 2 by just 52 points, Brittany Force and the Flav-R-Pac dragster team enter this weekend’s NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway looking to make some serious gains on the Top Fuel lead.
Force and her David Grubnic and Mac Savage led team have been making waves all season. They are just two No. 1 starts away from tying the Top Fuel category record of 13 in a season set by Tony Schumacher in 2006 and from tying the JFR team record of 13 set by John Force in 1996. Brittany Force has been the No. 1 qualifier in 13 of her last 19 starts dating back to the 2020 season and is on an active streak of eight consecutive races in which she has posted both the quickest time and fastest speed of the meet and is on a streak of 11 straight races in which her car has been the quickest on the property. Force’s average qualifying time for the last 12 races is 3.690 seconds and she is coming off a 3.637 second run at Dallas that was the fifth quickest in history.
Along with her high performance and qualifying success, Force also has a win at Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka, Kan., where Brittany went onto share a historic winners circle with legendary father John Force. It was the first time in NHRA history that a parent-child duo had won together in the pro categories. The Flav-R-Pac / Monster Energy team also has been to the finals five times in the 2021 Camping World Drag Racing Series season, most recently finishing runner-up at the Carolina Nationals
“There’s just three races left in this Countdown to the Championship, and we are still in the fight. We’ve had a tough few weeks, but plan to turn that around,” said Force referring to her runner-up finish in Charlotte and semi-final loss in Dallas that came down to reaction time. “I’m looking forward to getting to Bristol seeing what this Flav-R-Pac team can pull off.”
Force has qualified No. 1 at Bristol Dragway once, in 2014, and in her career has never qualified outside of the top 10 at the Thunder Valley Nationals. She’ll be chasing her first win at the facility en route to taking over the Top Fuel points lead.
