Fastest Four Days in Motorsports on tap for NARC-King of the West Fujitsu Sprint Cars

The NARC King of the West Fujitsu Sprint Car Series reaches the centerpiece of the 2021 schedule this week when the Fastest Four Days in Motorsports (FFDM) will take teams and fans on a four-day tour of Nor-Cal.

This year marks the second edition of the FFDM. Tim Kaeding claimed the inaugural edition in 2019 by winning two of the four races, and COVID-19 regulations erased the 2020 FFDM from the calendar.  (ED NOTE:  The originally scheduled August 25th show at Placerville Speedway was canceled because the El Dorado County Fairgrounds were transformed into a staging are for firefighters and equipment battling the Caldor fire.)

Racing kicks off Thursday August 26th at Merced Speedway for Thursday Night Thunder. The following night takes the series to Watsonville’s Ocean Speedway for the third and final visit to the coastal bullring in 2021. Saturday the caravan will head to Stockton Dirt Track for the $6,000 to win Champion’s Classic that also features a $3,000 to win 360 sprint car show. The FFDM wraps up Sunday with the third series appearance at Petaluma Speedway this year.

The FFDM will be incentivized by a $8,000 point fund that will award $2,000 to the winner of the final standings and distribute the remainder among the drivers who finish 2nd-12th in points. Also, on top of the $6,000 to win race at Stockton, the other three events will all be $4,000 to win. Both the point fund and the heightened purses at Stockton will provide an opportunity for some drivers to have a very lucrative week!

On Thursday in Merced NARC will be joined by Mini Stocks, Mini Late Models and IMCA Northern SportMods. Friday at Ocean IMCA Sport Mods, Hobby Stocks and South Bay Dwarf Cars will share the card. Stockton will feature the $3,000 to win 360 sprint car event and NorCal Dwarf Cars. Joining NARC on Sunday in Petaluma will be Super Stocks, Dwarf Cars and Hardtops.

The entire four-day blitz of racing guarantees to offer plenty of excitement. Competitors will be vying for the extra money up for grabs alluded to above, and the situation atop the series standings may shake up. Dominic Scelzi currently holds a slim six-point lead over reigning champ DJ Netto, and just 15-markers behind Netto is 2015 titlist Bud Kaeding.
