And, for the Fitzgerald Gilder Kits 300 NASCAR Xfinity race on Saturday, Chevrolet Camaro SS – Hot Wheels edition will serve as the pace car.

QUOTABLE QUOTES:
KYLE LARSON, NO. 42 MCDONALD’S CAMARO ZL1 – 10TH IN STANDINGS
“I am always excited to get back to Bristol; it’s one of my favorite tracks. And, especially coming off of a tough weekend at Texas for our team, it’s nice to go to a place where we have confidence and have been fast. The stats maybe don’t show it, but I feel like Bristol is one of my better tracks and is a place where we usually have really good cars. This is a tough, physical race, with almost no time to relax for the entire 500 laps, but it’s a fun place to drive. We’ll be teamed up with McDonald’s this weekend, so hopefully we can have a great run with them.”

AUSTIN DILLON, NO. 3 REALTREE CAMARO ZL1 – 13TH IN STANDINGS
“I think you notice somewhat, but Bristol stays the same. I think Martinsville, Bristol, those types of places you kind of have something that you can lean on there because nothing really changes. Those places are just hardcore tracks that you have to have some drivability that you have built into the car mechanically. I look forward to Bristol each year. We had a 13th and 39th there last year, but the 39th place finish we blew a tire running in the top 15. I think we’ve got something better this year as far as our brake package and what we’ve got as car entry stability is good. So, we will just keep working on mechanical grip while we are there and see what we can come out of that place with.”

ALEX BOWMAN, NO. 88 NATIONWIDE CAMARO ZL1 – 14TH IN STANDINGS
“Bristol is different than all the other short tracks because of just how fast it is. We don’t really go to any fast-short tracks. Just the speed and the high banks, it’s a lot of fun. Bristol is definitely about handling, but I feel like everybody’s stuff is pretty similar handling wise there… you kind of have what you have. It is very difficult to pass there. It’s just so much about track position. Once you get up there you just have to maintain it all day, you can’t have any mistakes.”

CHASE ELLIOTT, NO. 9 MOUNTAIN DEW BAJA BLAST CAMARO ZL1 – 15TH IN STANDINGS
“Looking forward to Bristol this weekend and bringing the Baja Blast Chevrolet back. Pretty cool that Mountain Dew is bringing back the flavor for a short time. As far as racing, Bristol is a tough place and really challenges you mentally so we are going to head there and look to improve on the last few weeks.”

RYAN NEWMAN, NO. 31 BASS PRO SHOPS/CABELA’S CAMARO ZL1 – 17TH IN STANDINGS
“It’s all about keeping your speed up. It seems like you don’t accelerate a whole lot, even though you do, you don’t accelerate a whole lot off the corners because down the straightaways your car is so fast. It’s all about keeping the momentum up, maintaining corner speed regardless of what line you are running, the top or the bottom.”

WILLIAM BYRON, NO. 24 AXALTA CAMARO ZL1 – 18TH IN STANDINGS
“Bristol is physical, it’s a tough race. You have to handle good there or it will jump out and bite you. You have to make it 500 laps and be able to move around. They’ve started to put the (VHT) down on the bottom, which is good, but you have to be able to use that as an advantage without having your car only be good there. I’ve found good success outside of that line, especially in the Truck Series, but every year the racetrack is a little bit different and you have to adjust. I’m looking forward to the weekend.”

DARRELL ‘BUBBA’ WALLACE, NO. 43 STP CAMARO ZL1 – 19TH IN STANDINGS
“We’re coming off a good weekend at Texas. We had a fast Chevrolet Camaro Zl1 and turned that into a Top-10. And, that helps us as we get into Bristol. We can have a good race here. I like this track, and won here in a Super Late Model, but that’s a little different. We have STP on our Camaro Zl1 this weekend, and it’s exciting to see that. We really want to keep working hard and build on some momentum.”

AJ ALLMENDINGER, NO. 47 KROGER CLICKLIST CAMARO ZL1 – 20TH IN STANDINGS
“Bristol Motor Speedway is one of those short tracks that I’ve been racing at for 10 or 11 years now, and for me, when I walk into the place and it still takes my breath away. I always tell people, if they’ve never been to Bristol, or a NASCAR race, that’s the track to go to. It’s a tough race. I like a lot of short tracks, and I look at Martinsville (Speedway) and Bristol the same way. You know you’re in it for 500 laps. It’s a grind. You never really get a breath. What they do with the VHT that’s stuck on the track can help you decide what line you’re going to run and it can affect a lot of things throughout the race. It’s 500 laps of holding on and knowing that it’s a challenge. But it’s a fun racetrack and it’s one of those racetracks where if you can finish inside the top-10 or especially win the race, you really feel like you’ve accomplished something special.”

JIMMIE JOHNSON, NO. 48 LOWE’S FOR PROS CAMARO ZL1 – 21ST IN STANDINGS
“Your comfort level has to be high at Bristol, which means the car has to be a little on the snug side – it’s a fine balance where you have to have an edgy car and but you are comfortable enough to be the aggressor. It takes a lot out of you both mentally and physically. It’s the most physical track we run and having to stay sharp for four hours with guys banging on your bumper for 500 laps – it’s just tough.”

JAMIE MCMURRAY, NO. 1 CESSNA CAMARO ZL1 – 23RD IN STANDINGS
“I think what makes Bristol so much fun is that it is a throwback to how most of us started out racing on short-tracks around the country on a Saturday night.
“Bristol is an intense track that requires your focus every lap. I guess it is a love hate thing, depending on if the car is good or not. If you are slow, you just feel like you are in the way all day. We have run pretty well and had some decent finishes the last few trips there, so hopefully we can keep that going in the right direction this weekend.”

CHRIS BUESCHER, NO. 37 BUSH’S BEANS CAMARO ZL1 – 24TH IN STANDINGS
“Bristol (Motor Speedway) is a very fast half-mile. It’s my favorite track. I absolutely love that place. It’s also a home track for BUSH’S Beans, with their headquarters in Knoxville, TN. It’s nice to be able to bring everyone out there and run the copper paint scheme on our No. 37 BUSH’S Beans Camaro ZL1 that resembles the Original BUSH’S Baked Beans can, so that makes it all the more special. You look at the track and it’s so much fun to run the top groove, and you can play with the different compound VHT grooves on the bottom. They’ve hit the mark with where they place the VHT sometimes but missed it a little bit on others. If they can get that right, I think it makes it a track that has two very usable grooves. It’ll wear out as we go, but it’s a really awesome racetrack. I feel like it’s a place we can go and have a really solid race and maybe even be able to sneak a win out.”

KASEY KAHNE, NO. 95 WRL GENERAL CONTRACTORS CAMARO ZL1 – 27TH IN STANDINGS
“I really like Bristol. It’s a tough track the way the rubber moves around. The way the bottom and the top build rubber make it different and challenging. Last week we were really able to be way more competitive, so hopefully we can keep building on that going into Bristol.”

TY DILLON, NO. 13 GEICO CHEVROLET SS – 30TH IN STANDINGS
“I like Bristol a lot. I’ve run extremely well there in the Xfinity Series and have had a couple shots to win. Our GEICO Racing team ran well in last year’s spring race. It was definitely a learning curve for me because I had only driven a Cup car there once before, but we kept ourselves alive with good track position and were able to bring home a top-15 finish. The summer race wasn’t as kind to us, but that happens at Bristol. They don’t call it the ‘Last Great Colosseum’ for nothing. I’m looking forward to heading up there this weekend though. Our season didn’t start off how we wanted it to, but that didn’t stop this team from grinding and working at it. Now we are seeing the results of that hard work start to show. We’re carrying a lot of momentum into Bristol, and it’s our job to make something happen with it. I know that we will.”
