CHAMPIONSHIP KARTING TEAM EXPANDS OPERATION INTO F4 U.S.
Team BENIK joins F4 U.S. for 2018 season
INDIANAPOLIS (November 29, 2017) – The Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda gird continues to grow in its offseason with the addition of its newest multicar team. Championship karting Team BENIK announced that its operation expansion into F4 will start in 2018, fielding two cars.
“Going into the F4 U.S. program is an obvious step for us,” explained Team BENIK Manager Nick Mitchell. “It makes complete sense for our internal ladder system and we can’t wait to get going. We feel it’s the perfect cost-effective training ground for young drivers and the series seems to be super competitive.”
With multiple test dates already scheduled for December and January, Team BENIK will have several opportunities for drivers to try multiple different cars at several facilities throughout Florida.
“We have had our eye on the F4 U.S. program this year,” said Team BENIK Engineer Dan Mitchell. “After the arrival of the cars two weeks ago they are very good value for the money. Parts are cost effective and easy to replace with a high level of quality maintained throughout; that’s just what any driver’s sponsor wants. We understand that the first year out of karting for any driver is a learning year and the F4 program is as cost effective as it comes.”
Dan, who has been engineering in the British F4 series for the past three years, continues to praise the arrival of the F4 U.S. cars. “With our strong infrastructure in the kart team we aim to take the drivers from karting into cars, moving the drivers from strong winter test programs into race winning seasons.”
The 2018 season will be busy for Team BENIK as they will see action in both the F4 U.S and USF2000 programs, as well as a yet-to-be-announced karting schedule.
