Kasey Kahne Racing – Results Recap
Five races down, 87 to go – the 2017 season has officially kicked off. The Kasey Kahne Racing teams were in Barberville, Florida over the weekend for a five-day show at Volusia Speedway Park.
The Wednesday and Thursday shows were with the Arctic Cat All-Star Circuit of Champions series, with the World of Outlaw series official starting their season on Friday night at Volusia.
Daryn and Brad both started the first three nights very fast, with top-10 finishes across the board. Saturday night’s activities were rained out, pushing the 30 lap feature to Sunday afternoon for a rare double-header event. The first race didn’t go as planned; Daryn had a small mechanical failure while Brad and the No. 49 team fought handling issues.
Both teams showed championship caliber resilience by rebounding in the second feature, charging through the field with Daryn finishing third and Brad 10th.
The teams make their way to Kilgore, TX on March 3rd that will kick off a month long west coast trip.
