TOP FUEL
BRITTANY FORCE, JOHN FORCE RACING, MONSTER ENERGY CHEVROLET DRAGSTER: “I’ve been chasing this for quite a few years, this is my fourth season in Top Fuel, so I’ve been wanting it since day one,” said Force, who advanced to the final round for the second consecutive event and claimed the Mello Yello NHRA Drag Racing Series Top Fuel points lead. “It took a lot of work and a lot of time to get here. It’s definitely not as easy as you think it is, but I have so many great people around me. I have a great sponsor with Monster Energy and a great team that I’m confident in every weekend. This weekend was just it for us.”

FUNNY CAR
ROBERT HIGHT, JOHN FORCE RACING, AUTO CLUB CHEVROLET CAMARO SS: “We had a great race car the first two races so we actually felt we let a couple slip by that we actually could have won. So to come in here to get it done, and to get it done with Brittany and both of us leaving here with the points lead it doesn’t get any better.”

JOHN FORCE, JOHN FORCE RACING, PEAK ANTIFREEZE CHEVROLET CAMARO SS: “As an owner, you can’t expect much more than this today. It’s early in the season, but just mentally this is great to deliver for Monster Energy, to deliver for Chevrolet, to deliver for Auto Club that’s been so loyal to us, to Mac Tools, to PEAK and everybody.”
COURTNEY FORCE, JOHN FORCE RACING, TRAXXAS CHEVROLET CAMARO SS: “It was a great weekend for all the John Force Racing teams. This Traxxas Chevy Camaro was consistent all weekend long. We had a really strong race car. The only problem we had was we were dropping a cylinder on every single pass. We were still running in the threes so we can’t complain too much. We solved the problem on the second pass today and we pulled it back a little and Chad Head was able to get around me for the win even though we made another three second run. I feel like we have a really competitive race car and it feels great to drive it. I am proud of my guys and this entire Traxxas Funny Car team. I am really excited to see where this season is going to take us. Getting that first round win and being told at the top end that win was my 100th round win was so exciting. That is a big accomplishment that has been an entire team effort. We just want to continue to get more round wins starting in Las Vegas.”
PRO STOCK
GREG ANDERSON, KB RACING, SUMMIT RACING EQUIPMENT CHEVROLET CAMARO SS: “The whole weekend was great for KB Racing, but as the weekend went and we made run after run after run and Jason’s (Line) was absolutely the strongest car, I kind of just told myself ‘if you can just find you way to the final round, take a runner-up and get ready for the next race I’ll be happy if we can make it an all-Summit final.’ ’That happened and somehow we found a way to steal a victory away from him.”

JASON LINE, KB RACING, SUMMIT RACING EQUIPMENT CHEVROLET CAMARO SS: “Hopefully this is a good start. It’s been fun. I was frustrated with myself because I didn’t do a very good job (in the final). We had two great hot rods. We aren’t going to trade these two Camaros for anything. We’ll go home and go back to work. You can’t stop digging. It’s fun to come to the track every week knowing you have a good chance to win.”

DREW SKILLMAN, RAY SKILLMAN RACING, RAY SKILLMAN CHEVROLET CAMARO SS: “The team is learning a lot; we’re progressing. We just have to work a little harder to catch up to the KB cars. Their Chevrolet Camaros are running really well and so are ours. This was the third-fastest car out there and we just have to work a little harder and we’ll get there. We’re always pushing forward, so it’s nice to see some return on investment on our work.”
