RY45 Powers to Weekend Sweep of Lucas Oil Late Model

DIRT Series Races

Mooresville, NC. September 8, 2015 – Scott Bloomquist pulled the weekend hat trick winning all three Lucas Oil Late Model DIRT Series (LOLMDS) races in his Sweet-Bloomquist Chassis powered by Durham Racing Engines with RY45 Series engine components. Bloomquist is on a 5 race win streak with the LOLMDS and inches closer to current point’s leader.

Bloomquist qualified third in Group A of qualifying as Jimmy Owens and Earl Pearson Jr set fast time in their groups, all three cars were equipped with RY45 Series engine components. Bloomquist would start on the outside pole of the heat race and motored to the victory. With the heat race win, Bloomquist would start on the pole for the $25,000 to win the HillBilly 100.

Bloomquist would power to the early lead as 5 early cautions slowed the race. On a lap 40 restart, he would lose the lead until lap 80 when he recaptured the top spot. He would then lead the remaining 20 laps to go on to win by 4.928 seconds.

Durham Racing Engines won the Engine Builder of the Race Award for the fifth consecutive race with Bloomquist. The Tennessee driver has won $75,000 over the last 3 weekends with five wins in four states. Bloomquist also has three fast times in the last five races.

“Scott has a lot of momentum on his side right now,” said Durham, “He has his car figured out. I’m excited for the World 100 this weekend at Eldora Speedway.”
