FORD Performance and Roush Yates Engines Capture Xfinity Series win at Kentucky with Brad Keselowski

Mooresville, NC. July 13, 2015 – The No. 22 Team Penske FORD Mustang driven by Brad Keselowski picked up his third career Xfinity Series win at Kentucky Speedway Friday night. The win is Team Penske’s 50th Xfinity Series win of all time.

“It just seems perfect,” said Keselowski, “I feel very humble and proud to drive a car this good, year in and year out, at the Xfinity Series level.

With qualifying being washed out, the starting field was set by practice speeds. Keselowski would start fourth and was a top five car the entire race. He took the lead on lap 79 before pitting later for tires and fuel. A caution at lap 163 brought the leaders down pit road and the Discount Tire team would regain the lead with a quick pit stop.

With 8 laps to, Keselowski would retake the lead from Eric Jones as the two split a lap car down the front tri-oval. Jones would stay close to Keselowski but was unable to make a run. The Discount Tire FORD Mustang captured the checker flag, Keselowski’s first Xfinity Series win of 2015 and fourth Top 10 finish. With the win, Keselowski moved into the top five of all-time Xfinity Series winners with 33 career wins.

“Being a part of Team Penske is everything I ever dreamed of and more,” said Keselowski. We’ve got three Xfinity Series Championships and Sprint Cup Championship and I think we’ve got a lot more to go, I really do.”

Two FORD Performance owners are on-top of the Owners Points with Roger Penske and Jack Roush currently first and second.

Roush Fenway Racing has all four of its drivers in the Top 10 of Xfinity Series points with Chris Buescher leading, Elliott Sadler in fourth, Darrell Wallace Jr. in sixth and Ryan Reed in tenth. Buescher has a 36 point lead going into this weekend’s race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
