Max-D Crowned First-Ever #MoreMonsterJam Series Champion
The Ultimate 10-city Test of Monster Jam Endurance Comes Down to Final Performance of the Tour

Grand Rapids, Mich. (March 8, 2015) – The inaugural 10-city #MoreMonsterJam series finale took place this weekend in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in grand fashion. Monster Jam® fans in the Van Andel Arena witnessed one of the most action packed weekends of the entire tour, as it came down to the final performance on the final day of competition to determine the overall series winner.

Max-D’s Morgan Kane started the weekend in the points lead and he battled Friday night to prove that’s where he belongs, setting a tour record of six and a half total points for a single performance. Max-D won the first three competitions including the Monster Jam ATV heat race, the Monster Jam donut contest, and Monster Jam freestyle. Marching away victorious as the freestyle champion and overall event champion, Morgan Kane’s confidence was higher than ever.

Saturday afternoon Grave Digger® entered the track with a vengeance. Not satisfied with merely second place, Grave Digger won five and a half total points in an attempt to overturn Max-D and Kane’s championship run. The effort ended with Grave Digger’s Colton Eichelberger bringing home another overall event win.

The series overall championship was within Max-D’s reach Saturday evening. So incredibly close to clinching the overall tour victory, Max-D just barely missed it. While Blue Thunder® and Dalton Milican won the Monster Jam freestyle competition, Max-D won the Monster Jam wheelie competition, the Monster Jam speedster head-to-head race, ATV race, and the Monster Jam time trials, thereby taking the overall event trophy.

Sunday was the culmination of over a year of preparation and hard work. Who would be crowned the #MoreMonsterJam Champion? Grave Digger was determined to topple the likely series champion, Max-D, by winning the first event of the final round in #MoreMonsterJam. But Grave Digger and the other Monster Jam trucks will have to wait for another season, as it was none other than Max-D who clinched first place as Series Champion following his Time Trials victory. Finishing the entire season with 91 total points, Max-D received the glory, victory, and trophy! Grave Digger’s Colton Eichelberger finished in 2nd. Both Max-D and Grave Digger received berths to Monster Jam World Finals® XVI and will compete alongside the other best drivers on the planet in Las Vegas on March 26-28.

“Winning the #MoreMonsterJam tour is the biggest accomplishment of my career,” said, Kane. “It’s been a tough season battling with 7 of the best athletes in the business, but the hard work and encouragement from my crew, friends, and family helped me focus and take the championship home for #TeamMaxD!”
