Race Highlights:
Brian Scott started 37th in the Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway. In only his fourth NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start, Scott finished 35th after an early-race accident.

Accident Leads Brian Scott to 35th-Place Finish at Auto Club Speedway
 
Brian Scott qualified for Sunday’s Auto Club 400 in the 37th position, in only his fourth NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start. Early on in the 206-lap race, Scott found speed in his No. 33 Whitetail Chevrolet SS gaining 20 positions on track by lap 60 to race in 17th place. Then on lap 71, Scott was collected in an accident coming out of turn four resulting in right-side damage. The team worked hard on pit road to make repairs to his Chevrolet SS and enable the driver to return to action and take the checkered flag in 35th place. Scott returns to the seat of the No. 33 at Talladega Superspeedway on May 4.
