Austin Dillon Drives No. 3 Realtree Chevrolet to 14th-Place Finish at Phoenix Raceway
“We had a really fast Realtree Chevrolet today. We struggled with a tight-handling condition on the front end, but Justin Alexander and everyone on the team did a good job making adjustments. We made an unscheduled pit-stop for a flat left-rear tire during a caution and ended up losing a little bit of track position. Later in the race, we ended up with a little bit of damage during a late-race restart that got pretty crazy and I think it hurt us a little bit. We ended up finishing 14th. Still, a pretty good day at Phoenix Raceway.”

In Final Race of Career, Allen Johnson Qualifies for 399th Raceday Start at Auto Club NHRA Finals
POMONA, Calif. (November 11, 2017) – In his 504th race in Pro Stock, Marathon Petroleum/J&J Racing Dodge Dart driver Allen Johnson is competing in his 399th raceday this weekend at the 53rd annual Auto Club NHRA Finals.
On Friday, Johnson built a foundation for his race weekend with a solid 6.595-seconds pass at 209.95 mph. The Adam Hornberger and Roy Johnson-led team came back in the second session and produced an extremely consistent 6.596, 209.56. Austin Dillon Closes Out His 2017 NASCAR XFINITY Series Season with Top-10 Finish in the Ruud Chevolet
“I️ was a little bit worried to start the race after qualifying the Ruud Chevrolet 16th and racing in 14th during Stage 1, but Nick Harrison made an air pressure adjustment that really helped and the pit crew gained us a bunch of spots on pit road. I️ thought we were going to be okay for a while there, especially when we were racing in second. The handling of the Ruud Chevy started to get tight again in the final stage and we lost track position. I️ felt like the right front was just gone. We have some work to do on the XFINITY program at RCR, but I️ know we will get there. I️ am proud of my teammate, Daniel Hemric, for making it to the Final Four. That will be fun to watch him go for the champsionship at Homestead. Also, congrats to Chevrolet for winning the Manufacturer’s title. They clinched that up today, which is pretty awesome so congrats to everyone at Team Chevy on that accomplishment.”

POMONA, Calif. (Nov. 10) – Monster Energy driver Brittany Force snared the provisional No. 1 qualifying spot for the Auto Club NHRA Finals and inched closer to the Top Fuel points lead with an Auto Club Raceway-track record on Friday.
Force ripped down Auto Club Raceway with a pass of 3.667 seconds at 330.31 mph, breaking the track record for elapsed time.

“It’s a pretty easy approach for us. We’re in a must-win-situation. We wish we were in a better points scenario, but that’s not the case. This team thrives on pressure and adversity and we’re certainly in the position right now. When we look at the last two or three races here, we’ve had very competitive cars and the effort was made this week to make sure we brought the best bullet, second to none, and I’m really proud of my team and the way that all of Hendrick Motorsports is working together to make sure that the No. 24 car (Chase Elliott) and the No. 48 car have their best chances to win here and move on and stay alive for the championship. We attended the NHRA Division 7 race in Las Vegas this past weekend and broke another import dragster record 5.88 et at 239 mph. I wanted to personally thank you for all of your support of our race team over the years we truly could not have achieved what we have without ARP. There is a lot left in it and we look forward to breaking more records with ARP in 2018.
Unfortunately 2 engine failures in a row ment we lost out on winning the UK Time Attack championship, but we still managed to retain 3rd place in the end.
The year started off so well Too, we were winning the championship by a good chunk, but round 5 at Oulton Park during qualifying I ran wide on a corner pulling a piece of the front aero off which hit the sump starving the engine of oil, resulting in big end failure, we did manage to take the two wheel drive lap record tho before the engine failed 🙂
