JOHNSON LEADS THE WAY FOR CHEVROLET AT BRISTOL
Four Team Chevy Drivers Finish in the Top 10

BRISTOL, Tenn. – August 23, 2014 – Six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson led the way for Team Chevy in his No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet SS at the Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, with a fourth place finish. Johnson overcame two pit road speeding penalties to earn his seventh top five finish of the season. The 500-lap Saturday night short track race netted Team Chevy four places in the top 10 finishing order.

Will Power Puts Chevrolet IndyCar V6 on the Pole at Sonoma

SONOMA, Calif (August 23, 2014) – For the fourth time in this season, Will Power has put his No. 12 Verizon Team Penske Chevrolet on the pole, and will lead the Verizon IndyCar Series field to the green flag at Sonoma Raceway. It is the 36th career pole for Power, and his fourth at Sonoma Raceway, where he has scored three wins in four years.

Race Highlights:
Ty Dillon qualified seventh for the Food City 300 and was the highest qualifying Richard Childress Racing entry at Bristol Motor Speedway. Teammates Brian Scott, Cale Conley, and Brendan Gaughan qualified ninth, 10th and 11th respectively.
RCR teammates Ty Dillon, Brendan Gaughan, Brian Scott and Cale Conley finished, in order, fourth, sixth, 11th and 15th.
Ty Dillon currently leads the RCR drivers in the NASCAR Nationwide Series driver point standings in third, Brian Scott is fifth and Brendan Gaughan eighth.
Next up for the Nationwide Series is the Great Clips 300 benefiting Feed the Children at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Catch all the action live on Saturday, August 30 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time on ESPN2.

Race Highlights:
Richard Childress Racing teammates Paul Menard, Ryan Newman and Austin Dillon finished fourth, 11th and 22nd, respectively.
Newman ranks ninth in the Sprint Cup Series championship point standings, trailing current leader Jeff Gordon by 137 points, while Dillon ranks 13th and Menard ranks 17th.
Gordon earned his third victory of the 2014 season and was followed to the finish line by Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano, Menard and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
The next Sprint Cup Series race is the Bristol Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, August 23, which is scheduled to be televised live on ABC beginning at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time and is scheduled to be broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Satellite Radio, channel 90.

MINOT, N.D. – Aug. 17, 2014 – Joey Saldana and Donny Schatz fought a pitched battle through much of the feature Sunday night at the Gerdau Magic City Showdown at Nodak Speedway presented by Schatz Crossroads Truckstop, but it was Schatz who came out on top, scoring his 15th World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series win of the season.

Schatz, a North Dakota native, said it meant a lot to him to get a win in front of a hometown crowd.
