Scelzi Rallies From 16th to Fifth at Silver Dollar to Earn First Top Five of Season

Inside Line Promotions – PETALUMA, Calif. (May 2, 2017) – Dominic Scelzi posted his first top-five finish of the season last Friday at Silver Dollar Speedway, where he kicked off the weekend with a stout performance.

Scelzi and his Roth Motorsports backed, family owned team faced trouble during the opening portion of the night at the quarter-mile oval in Chico, Calif.

“We blew a driveline in hot laps,” he said. “We had to change the rear end and change everything. We missed qualifying, but got everything back together in time for the heat race. We couldn’t get the motor to run because we had a new fuel tank and ran into a problem with the filter so we didn’t even take the green flag in the heat race.” Continue reading Scelzi Rallies From 16th to Fifth at Silver Dollar to Earn First Top Five of Season

“Atlanta is going to be tough for our guys,” Force said. “They headed back to Indianapolis on Monday morning to ‘front-half’ the car and then get it over to Atlanta for the weekend. It’s a lot of work but I know the guys can do it.” Continue reading Brittany Force ready to battle in Atlanta with updated Monster Energy dragster

MARSTONS MILLS, Massachusetts (May 2, 2017) – The Permatex/Follow A Dream Top Alcohol Funny Car team went into this past weekend’s NHRA 4-Wide Nationals with high hopes and expectations. It left with disappointment and frustration.

After driver Phil Burkart qualified No. 8 in the national event, he had a strong run in the first round of eliminations (5.610 seconds at 265.33 mph), losing to Kris Hool (5.569 seconds at 261.72 mph). “When you lose in the first round, it stinks,” Blake said. “We just couldn’t find the right setup for the whole weekend. The conditions were hot and humid, compared to Gainesville (March 16-19), where the air was great and you could make power very easily.”We just couldn’t find the right combination to be where we wanted to be.” Continue reading Permatex /Follow A Dream TA/FC team’s Charlotte hopes end early
