AUSTIN DILLON, NO. 3 DOW CHEVROLET CAMARO ZL1 – Finished 5TH
WHAT DID YOU LEARN OUT THERE TODAY?
“That is the fastest we have been at a speedway in a while. The last two years we haven’t been able to compete like that. It feels really good to lead a couple of laps and dice it up. The handling got a little worse when we lost some of the track position, so we will work on that for the 500. But, very promising day for our DOW Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. I’m happy. We came out of there without a scratch on the car and we’ve got something for the 500, all my guys are excited.” Continue reading Chevy Racing–NASCAR–Clash Post Race

POMONA, Calif. (Feb. 11) — Jeg Coughlin Jr. will have to wait until the fall to try for a seventh victory at historic Auto Club Raceway in Pomona after dropping a close Round 1 race to Elite Motorsports teammate Erica Enders.

Both Coughlin and Enders posted 6.59-second passes to kick-off the season-opening 58th Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com, but a slightly quicker start by Enders at the Christmas Tree — .018-second reaction time to Coughlin’s .031-second launch — earned Enders the win light.

ALEX BOWMAN NO. 88 NATIONWIDE CHEVROLET CAMARO ZL1 – Pole Winner:
“It was a little nerve-wracking. Our Nationwide Camaro ZL1 has been great since we unloaded. All the guys back at the chassis shop, body shop, and the Hendrick engine shop have been top-notch. They’ve all worked so hard. And we knew we were going for the pole; that’s what we’re here to do. And I thought we were at a little disadvantage letting the car cool down as long as we did since we went pretty early in the first round. I was a little nervous for that second round. But it took off well off pit road and I did everything I could do, but it really comes down to the crew and all the guys back at the shop, whether it’s the aero group, the engine shop, the chassis shop. Everybody works so hard at these speedway cars, especially the 500. It just means the world to have Nationwide support and to be able to put it on the pole.” Continue reading Chevy Racing–NASCAR–Daytona Pole Qualifying
