“Yeah, it was an amazing race actually. Obvioulsy, Wickens (Robert) came out on reds and I was on blacks and man, I’ve never driven so hard to watch a gap grow. But, obviously when I went to the reds, then I had to try to pass him back. And then, he had to save a lot of fuel at the end and go fast; because I knew how good (Scott) Dixon is at saving fuel and going fast. But the Chevy had great fuel mileage, and I’ve never driven so hard for an entire race. Like I was 100 percent the whole time. INDIANAPOLIS – From the pole, Will Power scored the 200th victory for Roger Penske and the Team Penske organization in Verizon IndyCar Series competition.

Power led 56 laps in the INDYCAR Grand Pix on the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway behind the wheel of the No. 12 Verizon Team Penske Chevrolet to score with his 33rd career win and his third on the IMS Road Course.

“On behalf of everyone at Chevrolet, congratulations to Roger Penske and everyone at Team Penske on capturing an unprecedented 200 wins in Verizon IndyCar Series competition,” said Jim Campbell, U.S. Vice President Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. “This incredible accomplishment is the result of focus, determination and teamwork. Roger has an amazing ability to bring together the right people and then provide all the necessary tools needed to win races and championships.
