Seawright Outduels Morey at Camden for First Summer Nationals Win

CAMDEN, TN (June 29, 2026) — Sam Seawright checked a major career box Monday night at Camden Speedway, scoring his first career victory with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Late Models in a thrilling photo finish.

Seawright, of Fort Payne, AL, dominated the main event, leading all 30 laps around the Tennessee oval amid challenges from Coltman Farms Racing teammate Luke Morey and Summer Nationals points leader Tanner English.

The 22-year-old rising Super Late Model talent lined up outside of the front row alongside English for the drop of the green flag and went right to work, using the middle lane to get around English as they entered Turn 1 and leading all the way back around the 3/8-mile oval to lead Lap 1.

The action began to heat up with six laps left as the top three broke away from the rest of the field. English went high into Turn 1, trying to find something to get around Seawright, but Morey was able to take advantage and slipped by English on the bottom to take the runner-up spot out of Turn 2.

As the white flag waved it was Morey who found just enough of the inside lane left open and took advantage, pulling even with Seawright as they exited Turn 4. The duo drag raced to the checkered flag, and it was Seawright coming out on a top in a photo finish at the line by .076 seconds.

“Our car’s been really good all year, I am just glad we got something to show for it, I’m excited for the next couple weeks,” Seawright said. “I know [Morey] was on me there and the lap cars were holding me up bad and I just kept getting in dirty air and putting myself in bad spots. Luckily, it all worked out.”

Morey crossed the line in second, making it a one-two punch for Coltman Farms Racing on the podium to kick off Week 4 of the Hell Tour’s 40th anniversary campaign.

“I’m proud of [Morey],” Seawright said. “He has done a good job. I know Brett’s ecstatic, and that’s all that really matters because he’s the one who puts all the money into this and he’s happy, so I’m happy.”

Kyle Hardy finished third, Tanner English fourth, and Rusty Schlenk rounded out the podium.

Justin Haley Dominates at Camden to Score First Career Summit Modified Win

Justin Haley set out on the DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals trail in 2026 with one goal — improve. Monday night at Camden Speedway, he showed exactly how far he’s come.

Haley, the NASCAR Truck Series regular from Winamac, IN, dominated the field, leading all 25 laps of the main event to score career win No. 1 with the Summit Modifieds.

Haley started on the pole, and early on, it was clear he was the one to beat. At the drop of the green flag, he darted away from polesitter and two-time series winner, Zeke McKenzie.

A caution on Lap 15 was the only chance anyone had of getting close to Haley, considering the lead of over five seconds he’d built at one point in the first half of the race. But in the end, nobody in the field had anything for the Darkhorse Racing No. 99.

Haley went on to lead the final 10 laps without challenge to bank his first career win with the Summit Modifieds, sweeping the night with a new track record in Qualifying, victory in his Heat Race and every lap led in the Feature.

“It’s rare to get in a race car and feel that good straight out from the rip. I’m just extremely happy. This track just fit my driving style and, obviously, coming to all these tracks for the first time is hard,” Haley said. “This is just fun; I was fortunate to get a few weeks off from the NASCAR stuff. This car is my pride and joy; it’s everything I work for. It means more because this is my own program and kind of calling the shots with my crew chief, Matt Smith.”

McKenzie finished second, Cole Falloway finished second, Charlie Mefford finished fourth, and Hunt Gossum finished fifth.
