| DETROIT (June 22, 2026) – After the 94th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Cadillac Racing’s three IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship teams turn their attention to what should be called a sprint race. It is not. The Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen International may feel like a sprint race for some but it’s one of the longer races on the schedule. The No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R is entering Watkins Glen coming off a win at the Chevrolet Detroit Sports Car Classic and seven consecutive podium finishes, the longest podium streak in the current era of the GTP class. They also had two wins coming last fall at Indianapolis and Road Atlanta then finishing second in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, third at Sebring and second at Long Beach and Laguna Seca. Drivers Jack Aitken and Earl Bamber are looking to continue their podium streak as well as looking for their second consecutive win. They will be joined by Frederik Vesti who will compete with them during the endurance races. Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing with the No. 10 (Ricky Talyor and Filipe Albuquerque) and No. 40 (Jordan Taylor and Louis Deletraz) are also looking to score a victory. Last year both the No. 10 (third) and the No. 40 (second) finished on the podium. Cadillac Racing has earned podium spots the past four years at The Glen — the No. 01 Cadillac V-Series.R runner-up in 2024, the No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R third in 2023 and the No. 01 V-Performance Academy DPi-V.R third in 2022. Cadillac swept the top two places in the 2-hour, 40-minute race in 2021. Ricky Taylor and Albuquerque co-drove to victory in 2022 with another manufacturer after qualifying second. They earned the pole for the 2021 race, while Jordan Taylor and Deletraz claimed the pole position in 2024 and placed fourth with another manufacturer. The race completes a busy period of competition for Cadillac Racing, which earned a win in the Chevrolet Detroit Sports Car Classic in addition to two weekends of running in France. Now after a weekend off, they head to Watkins Glen. The Six-Hour race starts at 12:10 pm EDT and will be streamed on Peacock and streamed on IMSAs YouTube page (outside United States). IMSA Radio will stream live audio coverage on XM 206, Channel 996 on the SiriusXM app and IMSA.com. |

| No. 10 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R Ricky Taylor: “We had a good race last year and actually Action Express was also really quick. We have some updates this year with the aero update for the 2026 season. It will be interesting to see how we adapt that at Watkins Glen to build on our strong performance last year.” Filipe Albuquerque: “Going to Watkins Glen is always nice, but especially on a rhythm that we are on: we do Detroit, and then we do pre-test Le Mans, then two days in the simulator to prepare for Watkins Glen. Watkins Glen is a very similar way in terms of asphalt and smoothness compared to Le Mans and that’s great for the driver. High grip, maximum down force so the car will be turning faster on the corners. And we are still hot (off the track), literally since we just take a plane and it’s enough to, you know, calm you down and go again (to the next track). We do this for passion, for love of the sport. I just love the rhythm.” No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R Jack Aitken: “Looking forward to it. Watkins is one of my favorite tracks. It’s always a lot of fun to go there and the racing is usually pretty interesting as well with it being a six-hour race. Good to get back to the endurance format after a few sprints where we’ve been doing well. And we just want to keep the momentum going. We’re definitely going to have some stiff competition, but we’ve been working really well executing on a pretty high level, so I think we’re all looking forward to it.” Earl Bamber: “Yeah, we’re looking forward to the endurance format again. Obviously, we had some strong success, but there’s a lot of other cars out there that are strong. We had a good test. We’ll be rolling off the back of Le Mans, where, again, Cadillac has shown its performance. So, yeah, just looking forward to keeping bagging those points.” Frederik Vesti “I can’t wait to be back in the 31 Whelen Cadillac. It feels like it’s been a long time since I raced with the team back in Long Beach. I missed Detroit and they had an amazing victory in General Motors and Cadillac’s home city which was cool to see. I was doing FP1 in Formula One when they were doing the 24 Hours of Le Mans. So, I can’t wait to be back with the team and my two teammates. It’s going to be a cool challenge coming to Watkins Glen. I hope we can be right up there fighting for victories as we have all season. That’s all you can ask for a racing driver. Having the car, the team to fight for wins and that is a great privilege and something I enjoy so much. Watkins Glen is one of my favorite tracks in America. I enjoyed my time there last year and we came so close to the win. Great memories and I’m just excited to race there again. And we’ll just keep pushing for the best possible results.” No. 40 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R Louis Deletraz: “I think the Cadillac will do well at Watkins. We had double podium last year so it proves there is performance. The car is always good with high speed corners and high g-force tracks. I think we can do well and obviously we see coming from last few events where the performance has been good and from Le Mans, we have a lot of knowledge and data to go fast.” Jordan Taylor: “Last year, we felt strong at Watkins Glen. It was a team’s first double podium, so, we’re excited to go back there. We’ve had another year of learning this car and another full extra week of racing up in the Le Mans so, I think we’ll go there very well prepared.” |
