Stotz Racing Official Press Release

June 19, 2017

King of the Streets Report
Frankie finally got the release from the doctors May 21 to go back racing after that elbow crushing accident last August. The brace that supports the elbow came in June 1 and we were at the track June 3 testing. Both Frank and the bike performed very well. Many thanks go out to the doctors and dedicated rehab people who may not understand us motorcycle racing enthusiasts but still did everything possible to get Frank back racing quickly.

The KOTS (King Of The Street) race at Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, WI this past weekend continues to show both the racers and spectators growing interest in No Prep (street conditions) racing. The “Buzz” is very similar to when No Wheelie Bar-Street Tire racing got popular 10-12 years ago. Constant increases in Live Streaming and Fans in the Stands (over 11,000) beg for more. Frankie must have been favored to win because the promoter put a $500 bounty on anyone that could take out the 2016 defending Extreme Bike Champion of Stotz Racing before the final. I am happy to report no one collected. Again, the little Honda cbr10000rr and Frankie performed great putting us in the final against Money Mike and the OSR team. Favored or not your bike has to start to win and unfortunately, a sensor malfunctioned and the bike would not start. Our thanks to Mike and the guys from the OSR team as they were great sportsman and gave us every opportunity to get the bike started and race heads up.

It was still a great first race back as Frankie showed nothing is going to stop him. Two days later we tore the motor down for inspection and everything looked great. The No Prep races can’t take the 500+ hp we make but at least it was there if we needed it. A very special Thank You to American Honda and Honda Pro Oils for continuing to help support the Stotz Racing drag race team and the Honda fans that come to see us. We would not have made the KOTS final without help from Steve at Dyno Dynamics, Brian from Win Racing, Mark from mobiledynamometer.com, Kurt at Sikora Precision, and Derek from DC V-twin.

Four time AMA ProStreet Champion Kent Stotz, first Street Bike to set the 200 mph record and Frankie, first Turbo Pro-Street in the Sixes (6.98) thank American Honda, prohondaoils.com, Al Lamb’s Honda, Falicon Crankshaft Components, Speed & Strength, BST Wheels by Brock, ARP, Robinson Industries, DC V-Twin, JE Pistons, MicroBlue Racing, Great Lakes RaceCraft, Air-Tech Streamlining, M2 Shocks, Win Racing, Dyno Dynamics, mobiledynamometer.com, DME Racing, topgearpowersports.com, and the newest Maxxecu.com.
