The JEGS Mail Order team will be represented at this week’s 32nd annual AAA Texas NHRA Fallnationals by six-time world champion Jeg Coughlin Jr. behind the wheel of the JEGS.com Elite Motorsports Pro Stock Camaro.

Jeg Jr.’s Camaro will once be adorned in pink for the month of October as part of breast cancer awareness month.

RealTime Racing Acuras Prepped For Laguna Seca Endurance Event
• Acura squad expands to six drivers for its first endurance event

TORRANCE, Calif, (October 11, 2017) – The Acura NSX GT3s of RealTime Racing and Honda Performance Development spent the recently-completed Pirelli World Challenge season trying to show how fast they could go. Now, with the PWC season complete, the team will go out this weekend attempting to show how far its Acuras can go.

RealTime will cap its 2017 debut campaign in the NSX GT3s by running its first endurance race Sunday, competing in the Intercontinental GT Challenge California 8 Hours at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The eight-hour event will be a stark contrast to the team’s standard events, that take little more than an hour from pre-race to checkered flag. Pittman’s Night Cut Short While Leading at Fulton
Daryn Pittman had a commanding lead on Saturday night at Fulton Speedway when a lapped car stopped on the track right in front of the No. 9 Great Clips Car. Pittman made hard contact, ending his night.
Brad Sweet started seventh and would hover around the top-10 the entire race, before coming home in eighth after a series of late race restarts.
The World of Outlaws next event is scheduled for Saturday, October 14 at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa.

Past Dallas winner Jeg Coughlin Jr. would love to shine again in the Lone Star State
DALLAS (Oct. 10) — The annual AAA Texas NHRA Fallnationals has become a special event for six-time world champion Jeg Coughlin Jr. through the years. He made his Super Stock debut there in 1993, his Pro Stock debut there in 1997, recorded runner-up finishes there in in 2000, 2003 and 2008, and won the event outright in 2002.

Some of Cruz Pedregon’s best racing memories have been made in Dallas, and he and the team are looking forward to making good things happen there again this weekend. “When some of the defining moments of your career are made at a track, it’s always a special place to come back to it…and that’s the way I feel about the Texas Motorplex,” Cruz says. “We wanted to be ready, so we took the nose off the body that was damaged last week after hitting the sand and got it ready for the weekend ahead. We’ll be running the breast cancer awareness paint scheme through October to share the work we’re doing with our sponsor Snap-on to support The Pink Fund. Austin Dillon Finishes 16th at Charlotte Motor Speedway Following Unscheduled Late-Race Pit Stop

“We came to Charlotte Motor Speedway with high expectations after winning the May race and the team did a great job preparing a competitive Dow Chevrolet. We came with a slightly different setup than May and I told the guys that this setup seemed even more competitive than the car I had in the spring. We were running solid in the top-10 throughout the race. We were on track for a great finish but we ended up making an unscheduled pit stop under green with less than 15 laps to go for a vibration. Still, we were able to get back on the lead lap and finish 16th. I’m proud of everyone for their hard work.”

Blaney Rebounds From Slow Start To Finish Eighth At Charlotte

Ryan Blaney and the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane team took a car that wasn’t handling very well early on in the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and tuned it to the point that it finished eighth. The team now heads to Talladega Superspeedway just five points back of a spot among the top eight that will advance to the third round of the Monster Energy Cup playoffs.

Blaney started the 500 from 15th place but was running outside the top 20 when the planned competition caution flag flew at Lap 35.

From that point on, the Motorcraft/Quick Lane team worked on the No. 21 Fusion on each pit stop, and by the end of Stage Two, Blaney was running in the ninth position, which earned him two valuable stage points. Continue reading Blaney Rebounds From Slow Start To Finish Eighth At Charlotte →

DALLAS (Oct. 8) — Two-time Pro Stock champion Erica Enders scratched a huge entry off her personal bucket list during her 2015 visit to Texas Motorplex when she won the annual AAA Texas NHRA Fallnationals, thereby completing a sweep of the races in her beloved home state of Texas.

All Four Chevy SS Playoff Driver’s Earn Top 10 Finishes

CONCORD, N.C. (October 8, 2017) – In the opening race of the second segment of the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) Playoffs at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS), Chase Elliott captured a second-place finish in his No. 24 SunEnergy1 Chevy SS at the Bank of America 500.

The effort marks the sixth time in his early Cup Serie career that the 21-year-old Georgia native has been one spot shy of capturing his first career MENCS victory. Elliott now has two top-10 finishes in five races at CMS and nine top-five finishes thus far in 2017. Despite not hoisting the hardware, Elliott puts himself and his team in a good position heading into the second race of the Round of 12, the treacherous Talladega Superspeedway, with a 15-point cushion ahead of the cutoff line. “That was a fun race tonight in the Rheem Chevrolet. We were a little bit too loose, but we had a good restart at the end of the race. I had clean air and my brother was in the car in front of me and went high. If he would have went low I think I would have cleared Alex Bowman for the lead. We were probably just a little bit too loose at the end of the race, but clean air would have definitely helped. We were posting lap times faster than the leader tonight. I just wasn’t able to get it done. I’m proud of the Rheem team. Racing on the top groove was fun. I was the first one to get up there and find it. I just katy barred the door there for a while.”
