INDIANAPOLIS (May 18, 2018) – Sixteen Chevrolet drivers prepped for the first day of qualifications for the 102nd Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil by attempting to find clean air for qualifying simulations during practice today on the 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval.

Lap speeds climbed as the boost level was increased to 1.4 bar on the twin turbocharger of the Chevrolet 2.2-liter V6 direct-injected engine. “It was fun. It was kind of random I just hit up you guys (NASCAR) and asked about going to the Post Malone concert and we got some tickets and then ended up backstage and got to meet him. He was a super nice guy and watched the concert from the stage. I wasn’t expecting that. That was cool and Cam Newton (quarterback for the Carolina Panthers) showed up behind me and I was like ‘holy cow’ I can of fanboyd over that because I’m a huge Panthers fan. A lot of the wide receiving core and some of the new guys that are on the team were with him and after that we huge out backstage for a little bit after the concert and then made our way home. INDIANAPOLIS (May 17, 2018) – Chevrolet teams and drivers prepared for “Fast Friday” with a full day of working through test programs at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

All 16 Chevy Racing drivers logged laps during the seven hours of available track time that was briefly interrupted with 20 minutes left when the No. 66 Salesforce DRR Chevrolet driven by JR Hildebrand make light right-side contact with the SAFER Barrier between Turns 3 and 4. INDIANAPOLIS – From the pole, Will Power scored the 200th victory for Roger Penske and the Team Penske organization in Verizon IndyCar Series competition.

Power led 56 laps in the INDYCAR Grand Pix on the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway behind the wheel of the No. 12 Verizon Team Penske Chevrolet to score with his 33rd career win and his third on the IMS Road Course.

Indiana University Swimmer To Lead Field in Corvette Grand Sport

INDIANAPOLIS, Wednesday, May 9, 2018 – Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer Lilly King, who competes collegiately for Indiana University, will drive the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Pace Car to lead the starting field to the green flag for the fifth annual INDYCAR Grand Prix on Saturday, May 12 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

King, from Evansville, Indiana, won two gold medals in the 2016 Summer Olympics at Rio de Janeiro, in the 100-meter breaststroke and as a member of Team USA’s 4×100 medley relay team. She also is the world-record holder in the 50-meter and 100-meter breaststroke and is an eight-time gold medal winner in the FINA World Championships.
