HANFORD, CA (10/17/26) Justin Sanders made history Saturday night at Kings Speedway, capturing his ninth NARC King of the West Sprint Car Series victory of the 2026 season and tying Tyler Walker’s single-season series record set in 2009. In the series’ first visit to Kings Speedway in two years, Sanders delivered a clutch performance to win the annual Cotton Classic. It was the first time NARC has sanctioned the Cotton Classic since 2019/Colby Copeland opened the night by topping the 18-car field in ARP Time Trials, posting a lap of 13.211 seconds for his second Quick Time award of the season. Dominic Gorden, Sanders, and Landon Brooks claimed the three heat races, while Sanders secured his 3rd HD Titanium Dash win of the year in his series leading 17th Dash appearance of the year to earn the pole position for the 30-lap Hoosier Tire A-Main.Tim Kaeding grabbed the early lead and looked poised to score his 80th career NARC King of the West victory. Kaeding built a lead of more than two seconds before a pair of cautions slowed the pace and brought Sanders within striking distance.Sanders made his move on a restart with 10 laps remaining, diving underneath Kaeding in Turn 2 to take command of the race. From there, the Aromas, California, native had to withstand a determined challenge from the veteran Kaeding, who closed the gap with four laps remaining before a costly trip over the Turn 4 cushion set him back.Kaeding got another opportunity with two laps to go when a caution for Dominic Gorden and Steven Kent brought the field back together. He challenged Sanders again on the restart but jumped the cushion in Turns 3 and 4, opening the door for DJ Netto to move into second and Copeland to claim third. With his record setting season, Justin Sanders added his 2nd career NARC King of the West championship.DJ Netto drove from 13th to 2nd earning FK Rod Ends Hard Charger award honors. For more information, visit NARC410.com.
