Inside Line Promotions – FRESNO, Calif. (March 12, 2024) – Mother Nature postponed Dominic Scelzi’s season debut with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series.
Wet weather washed out last weekend’s World of Outlaws Cowtown Classic at Kennedale Speedway Park in Kennedale, Texas. Scelzi will return to ‘The Lone Star State’ this weekend for the World of Outlaws Texas Two-Step hosted by Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige.

“Unfortunately, rain ended up cancelling both nights at Kennedale,” he said. “That’s part of the risk of racing this time of the year. Hopefully we’ll get in both nights this weekend.”
The races this Friday and Saturday will mark Scelzi’s debut at Cotton Bowl Speedway.
“I’m excited to get some laps at Cotton Bowl,” he said. “We’ve raced at a handful of different tracks in Texas, but I don’t think we’ve raced at Cotton Bowl. As with any race, the most important thing is to get dialed in quickly and to put down a great qualifying lap.”
Scelzi is coming off a pair of top-five performances during his first two nights behind the wheel of his family-owned sprint car two weekends ago.
“We had good speed so that gives us something to build upon,” he said. “Hopefully we can keep that up and just fine-tune it each race.”
