How would you assess your qualifying runs heading into tomorrow?

“It’s nice to be able to make some good runs on Friday and Saturday. Last night set the tone, and then today, we were just trying to manage getting down the track and pick up some qualifying bonus points, which is critical at this point in the season. We have a good car and a lot of confidence for tomorrow. We’re excited about race day”

How has the weekend been so far and what are you looking forward to tomorrow?

“Great qualifying effort from the NAPA Auto Care Toyota team! Any time we can get in the top half of the field for Sunday, you get lane choice and that’s always a goal, and to be No. 2 is helpful. This track, as hot as it is, it’s very difficult to negotiate as a driver so the Toyota GR Supra Funny Car body has been very nice to have, especially when we get into the heat of the day that we’ll see tomorrow. It’s going to be tough. This is the time of the year where you have to make a run for a world championship, and this race always has something to say about who will do it. We’re looking to have the success we’ve had here in the past as we had back-to-back wins on the way to back-to-back championships. We’ll see if we can get that going again.”
