| POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (July 8, 2025) – The only thing in the Trans Am by Pirelli series hotter than the weather these days is CD Racing. The team is coming off a pair of 1-2 sweeps at Mid-Ohio and Road America and has Watkins Glen in its sights for this weekend. After a slow start to the season when team leader Chris Dyson was injured in a crash during the season-opener, the New York-based team has steadily gathered momentum, winning four of the six most recent races on the schedule – two each for Dyson and part-timer Matthew Brabham in the team’s pair of GYM WEED Ford Mustangs. “Because the Trans Am point structure penalizes non-finishes more than it rewards wins and podiums, after getting shut out in the first two races it was clear my winning a fourth championship was not a realistic goal for this season,” Dyson said. “So the team has just focused every weekend on winning the race, never mind the points chase. It’s been working out pretty well for us.”It’s never good to bet against Dyson at the Glen; he is the defending race champion and has won three of the six most recent Trans Am races at the Glen. And in the three races he didn’t win, Dyson finished second.”Like many of the tracks we get to visit on the Trans Am tour, Watkins Glen is another classic layout where we’ve enjoyed a lot of success,” Dyson noted. “It’s one of the all-time greatest road-racing circuits: fast, sweeping corners requiring a lot of commitment and yet quite technical to drive. I always enjoy coming up to The Glen. It’s one of the places that was central to inspiring me and forming my love of the sport and it’s here where I did a lot of my earliest races. I’m thrilled to be back racing this circuit again in my Trans Am car.”After a brief break from the series, Humaid Masaood will be driving the team’s #21 entry.
