TF Sport Corvettes looking for pace after season-opening Qatar LM GT3 win IMOLA, Italy (April 19, 2025) – TF Sport is all-eyes-forward following qualifying Saturday for the FIA World Endurance Championship’s Six Hours of Imola. The team’s two Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs will start 10th and 16th in the LM GT3 class for Sunday’s second round of the season. |
The No. 81 Corvette of Tom Van Rompuy, Rui Andrade and Charlie Eastwood will lead the TF charge. Van Rompuy and Andrade split the two qualifying sessions around the 3.05-mile, 20-turn circuit. Van Rompuy advanced from the initial 12-minute session at 1:44.307 (105.260 mph), and Andrade posted a 1:43.807 (105.758 mph) lap in the 10-minute Hyperpole dash for the 10 fastest qualifying cars. Ben Keating, in the No. 33 Z06 GT3.R, was 16th and 0.656 seconds off Van Rompuy’s time in the first qualifying session. He, Daniel Juncadella and Jonny Edgar were the class winners at the season-opening race at Qatar – after starting 13th – for TF Sport’s maiden Corvette victory in the championship. The Six Hours of Monza is scheduled for 7 a.m. ET / 1 p.m. CET on Sunday.
