Summit Racing–Line Qualified No. 2 in Texas, ready for delayed second round of Carolina Nats

Dallas, Texas, September 19, 2014 – Summit Racing NHRA Pro Stock driver Jason Line brought his best game to the table for Friday qualifying at the AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals, and with eliminations for the delayed Carolina Nationals set to continue on Saturday in conjunction with qualifying, Line has set the stage for what could be a very successful day.

In his first blast down the racetrack at Texas Motorplex, Line crossed the finish line with a swift 6.590-second pass at 209.88 mph. His time was the best of the round, placing him all the way in the No. 1 spot by .001-second over KB Racing-powered Vincent Nobile, who clocked a 6.591 for the No. 2 position. Teammate Greg Anderson’s 6.613, 209.33 placed him in the top half of the field, seventh, to cap off a respectable first session for the Summit Racing crew. Refocused Anderson Determined to Win During Countdown

Mooresville, N.C., September 10, 2014 – As this weekend’s seventh annual NHRA Carolina Nationals approaches, it is safe to say that Greg Anderson is having one heck of an unusual year. The driver of the white Summit Racing Chevrolet Camaro missed five races at the beginning of the 2014 season of NHRA’s Mello Yello Drag Racing Series as he successfully recovered from heart surgery, and he came back on the scene with a ferocious hunger to make up ground. Anderson battled and battled, reaching three final rounds and regularly winning rounds over opponents by way of his aptitude as a driver. When the regular season came to a close, however, Anderson came up a painful six points shy of making the top 10, and for the first time in his career as a Pro Stock driver, he would not be able to race for the championship.

Minnesota’s Line Starting Second in Brainerd

Brainerd, Minn., August 16, 2014 – The second day of qualifying at the NHRA Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway put Summit Racing Pro Stock driver Jason Line in a very good mood. Line, a native of Wright, Minn., made the quickest runs of the day in both of the qualifying rounds and earned six more bonus qualifying points, bringing his total of bonus marks collected over the course of the weekend at his home racetrack to nine. Ultimately, Line qualified second, just .008-second off of the top spot, and he will race Mark Hogan in the first round of eliminations on Sunday.
