MOORESVILLE, NC, June 13, 2017 – The legendary Ford GT will return to the Circuit des 24 Heures in Le Mans, France this week to defend its 2016 GTE Pro Class victory, which was won by the No. 68 Ford Chip Ganassi Racing team of Joey Hand, Dirk Müller and Sébastien Bourdais who due to an injury, will be replaced this year by INDYCAR champion Tony Kanaan.

In its debut season, the Ford GT achieved the ultimate success and made road racing history by delivering on its mission of winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans, fifty years after the first GT won Le Mans in 1966. Not only did the Ford GT win, but it also achieved a third place podium finish, almost sweeping the podium in the Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance (LMGTE) class. The Ford GT ‘supercar’ immediately rose to the pinnacle of road racing history.

Preparations begin for the 2017 return to Le Mans. Knowing the competition would be focused on the podium and the Ford GT, the goal was clear and the countdown began to prepare the twin-turbo Ford EcoBoost V6 engines that would power the Ford GT fleet to defend the 24 Hours of Le Mans title, just as Ford did in 1966 and 1967. May 8, 2017 – Polesitter, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., driver of the No. 17 Roush Fenway Racing Ford Fusion won his first career Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway. In partnership with Ford Performance, Roush Yates Engines provided the Ford FR9 EFI horsepower that propelled the No. 17 to victory lane in the GEICO 500.

KESELOWSKI CONQUERS THE PAPERCLIP!

Martinsville, Vir., April 3, 2017 – Brad Keselowski took home the coveted grandfather clock from Martinsville Speedway, better known as the “Paperclip” to NASCAR fans. The smallest track in NASCAR delivered a big win for Ford Performance, Team Penske and Roush Yates Engines. As the exclusive Ford Performance engine builder for NASCAR, Roush Yates Engines powered the No. 2 to victory lane in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series STP 500 on Sunday.

Ford Performance has made 27 visits to victory lane in Martinsville, dating back to their first in 1961 with Fred Lorenzen. This was the first for Roush Yates Engines and the Ford FR9 EFI race engine with Ford Performance. The win also came on Roger Penske’s 1,000th NASCAR start and marked the 56th victory of all-time for Team Penske with Ford and the 13th for Keselowski. Sebring, Fla. March 20, 2017 – The No. 60 Ford Mustang GT4 won its first checkered flag for KohR Motorsport in only its second race in the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Series at Sebring International Raceway.

The KohR Motorsports car started from the pole position, after Jade Buford recorded a lap time of 2:11.610 to take the pole on Friday. The No. 59 sister-car of Jack Roush Jr.* and Dean Martin earned a third place qualifying position.

The strong horsepower of the Ford Performance and Roush Yates Engines FR9 EFI engine dominated in Atlanta to win Ford’s 30th Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The Ford Fusions were fast during practice and showed their steam with Kevin Harvick, No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing winning the Aspen Dental Pole Qualifying Friday night followed by No. 17 Ricky Stenhouse Jr. from Roush Fenway Racing qualifying P4 and Team Penske’s No. 2 Keselowski finishing P5. MOORESVILLE, NC, November 5, 2016 – Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell drivers of the No. 67 Ford Chip Ganassi Racing team put the Ford GT on the pole at the 6 Hours of Shanghai, in the FIA World Endurance Championship series.

This pole position marked the 250th pole in NASCAR and Road Racing for Roush Yates Engines in partnership with Ford Performance since 2004. The No. 67 recorded a qualifying lap time of 2:01.391 and the No. 66 of Stefan Mucke and Olivier Pla were a mere .137s behind to make it an all Ford front row. TALLADEGA, Ala., October 25, 2016 – Joey Logano takes back-to-back October wins at Talladega Superspeedway and advances to the third round of the Chase. Logano, driver of the Team Penske No. 22 made an impressive statement by winning his second fall Chase race at the legendary Talladega Superspeedway.

FORD GT WINS FUJI! | 1-2 FINISH!

FUJI, JAPAN, October 17, 2016 – The No. 67 Ford GT, driven by Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell took the checkered flag for Ford Chip Ganassi Racing. Winning the FIA World Endurance Championship Series, 6 Hours of Fuji. The Priaulx / Tincknell duo achieved their first win of the WEC season in dramatic fashion at the Fuji Speedway in the seventh race of the season.

“Your first win for a manufacturer is always special but with everything we’ve been through this season it’s a massive relief,” added Harry Tincknell.
