Kahne Enjoys Off Weekend Racing in PA
Daryn Pittman and the No. 9 ionomy team continue to chip away at a win with another top-10 finish after starting 19th.
Brad Sweet and the No. 49 NAPA team started the feature in fifth and he had worked his way to the lead before handling trouble resulted in a 13th-place finish.
After a quick break for Easter, the teams will be back at it on April 7th at Arizona Speedway.
Kasey Kahne and the No. 4 Ollie’s team had strong runs in Pennsylvania during Easter weekend.

Daryn Pittman was just outside the top 10 on Friday and Saturday night.
Brad Sweet finishes the last two nights with back to back top-five finishes, ending the weekend on the podium in second place.

NAPA AUTO PARTS Steps Up as Primary Sponsor for Brad Sweet’s No. 49 car

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Dec. 17, 2017 – NAPA AUTO PARTS and Kasey Kahne Racing (KKR) have agreed to a multi-year partnership where NAPA will elevate its role as primary sponsor of Brad Sweet’s No. 49 car for the entire World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series (WoO) schedule beginning in 2018.

Sweet, a native from Grass Valley, Calif., is coming off an exciting 2017 season with a career best second place finish in the standings. He is a 25-time winner in the WoO Series with 56 top-five finishes and an impressive 72 top-10 finishes in the 84-race season. Sweet has won prestigious races such as the Jackson Nationals & Texas Outlaw Nationals (2017), Front Row Challenge (2016), Kings Royal at Eldora (2013), Short Track Nationals (2010) and Belleville Midget Nationals (2008).

Sweet finishes Second in Championship Standings
Pittman scored quick time and Sweet grabbed his 72nd top-10 finish on Friday night after starting 25th.
Sweet just barely missed cracking the top 10 and Pittman finished seventh for his 56th top 10 of the year on Saturday night.
Both cars finished in the top five in the points standings, with a total of eight wins, 84 top-five, and 128 top-10 finishes combined.

Pittman’s Night Cut Short While Leading at Fulton
Daryn Pittman had a commanding lead on Saturday night at Fulton Speedway when a lapped car stopped on the track right in front of the No. 9 Great Clips Car. Pittman made hard contact, ending his night.
Brad Sweet started seventh and would hover around the top-10 the entire race, before coming home in eighth after a series of late race restarts.
The World of Outlaws next event is scheduled for Saturday, October 14 at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa.

Only 15 World of Outlaws Series Races Remain in 2017
Brad Sweet battled eventual race winner David Gravel for the top spot for much of the race Saturday at Lernerville.
Daryn Pittman was running a strong third before a jumping the cushion in turn 3 on Saturday. He would work his way back through the field to finish 8th.
The No. 49 team has 13 second-place finishes so far this season.
Only 15 WoO series races remain in the season, three of which are rain out make up dates.

Sweet Sweeps Night One at Calistoga
Brad Sweet swept night one at Calistoga on Saturday, winning quick time, his heat, the dash and the feature.
It was Sweet’s fifth win of the season.
On Saturday, Sweet led much of the feature ultimately finishing in third.
Daryn Pittman came from 10th to finish fifth on Friday night.
Pittman also contended for the win on a late-race restart Saturday, finishing second.

Kasey Kahne and Hendrick Motorsports drivers contribute to disaster relief

Kasey Kahne, Chase Elliott, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. have launched a disaster relief fund with a goal to raise $500,000. The drivers and Hendrick Motorsports have committed a combined $200,000 to establish the fund and Hendrick Automotive Group has committed an additional $100,000.

Tax-deductible contributions can be made by visiting HendrickRelief.org.

All donations to the campaign will benefit qualified charitable organizations supporting disaster relief efforts.

Both KKR teams on podium at Willamette
Daryn Pittman and Brad Sweet had very strong runs last Wednesday at Willamette, both finishing on the podium.
Pittman was caught up in a mid-race crash Friday at Silver Dollar. Two cars got together right in front of the No. 9 machine, with nowhere for him to go ending their night early.
Only 19 races remain on the 2017 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series schedule.
The next WoO event is Friday, September 17 at Calistoga Speedway in Calistoga, Calif.

Pittman wins twice, sets new qualifying track record
Daryn Pittman and the No. 9 Great Clips/Sage Fruit/ASE team are catching fire down the stretch, winning twice in a three-race stretch.
Pittman also set a new track record Monday at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wa.
On September 1 at Skagit Speedway, KKR was running 1-2 early in the race, when a lapped car made contact with Sweet, bouncing him into Pittman and sending them both to the work area for repairs. Both KKR cars returned to the race finishing 10th and 12th respectively.
The No. 49 Ollie’s Bargain Outlet/NAPA AUTO PARTS/Sage Fruit/ ASE team ran a special 49 on the car as a tribute to Washington state sprint car legend Cecil Walker, who passed away earlier this month.
The next World of Outlaws race is scheduled for tonight at Williamette Speedway in Lebanon, Ore.

Both cars showed great speed all week, locking into the A-Feature in their qualifying races.
Over 80 guests from NAPA AUTO PARTS attended a private hospitality event with a meet and greet with Brad, Q&A session, lunch and giveaways.
Ollie’s Bargain Outlet returns to the No. 49 for the remaining 31 races on the schedule.
Knoxville was not a points-paying event, the regular Outlaw schedule resumes Friday in Grand Forks, N.D.

Brad Sweet collected his 14th straight top-five finish Tuesday night at The Dirt Oval at Route 66 Speedway.
Daryn Pittman has collected three-straight top-ten finishes.
With a 38 car field at Beaver Dam, there were two qualifying flights with Daryn Pittman capturing quick time in flight B.

Brad Sweet captured two top-five finishes over the weekend.
Sweet advanced 11 positions Tuesday at Granite City to earn the KSE Hard Charger award.
A steady rain at River Cities caused nearly a three-hour delay on Friday night.
When the race resumed, tricky track conditions caused a multi-car crash that also caught up Daryn and the No. 9 team.
Kasey and the No. 4 iRacing team made a surprise visit Monday at Wayne County Speedway in Ohio. Kahne started 13th and worked his way to second by the end of the feature.

Sweet Wins Friday in Knoxville, Pittman nearly wins at Eagle
Brad Sweet won his fourth race of the year Friday night in Knoxville, Iowa.
Brad moves into second in season point standings.
Daryn Pittman nearly won Tuesday at Eagle Raceway, finishing a close second to NASCAR driver Kyle Larson.
NAPA AUTO PARTS hosted guests with hospitality and a meet and greet from Brad Tuesday at Eagle Raceway. Customers of NAPA including Midas, Tires Plus and Firestone were all on hand for a fun night at the trace track.

Sweet Victorious in Jackson

The Kasey Kahne Racing teams headed to Jackson, Minnesota last week for a three day show at Jackson Motorplex for the 39th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals, one of the year’s biggest events.

Brad Sweet and the No. 49 NAPA AUTO PARTS/Sage Fruit/ASE team were strong all weekend, capturing two third-place finishes and winning the finale on Saturday along with the $25,000 prize.

Daryn Pittman and the No. 9 Great clips/Sage Fruit/ASE team showed consistency and had a very strong weekend of two top-10 finishes on Friday and Saturday after advancing 12 positions from his 24th place starting spot to 12th on Thursday night.

The Outlaws next event is Friday, June 9th at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa.

KKR finishes second and third at Charlotte

The World of Outlaws Series had two stops this past week, the first on Friday at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, and then Monday at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Ind. Both of the teams had strong showings at each of the races.

Sweet and the NAPA Brakes/Sage Fruit/ASE team ran very well at Charlotte, setting quick time, winning the heat, dash and finishing the race in second. The No. 49 team also had a strong run at Lawrenceburg Speedway, collecting another top-five finish.

Daryn Pittman and the Great Clips/Sage Fruit/ASE team also ran well at Charlotte, where he and his team picked up a top-five, finishing third right behind teammate Brad Sweet. The No. 9 team snagged another strong top-ten at Lawrenceburg, winning their heat and finishing the feature in seventh.

This upcoming week the series heads to the 39th Annual AGCO Jackson Nationals at Jackson Motorplex.

Rain, Rain, Go Away

The World of Outlaws Series had five scheduled stops this past week, starting at Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Pa. and closing out the week in New Jersey at New Egypt Speedway. We had one rainout this week at Weedsport Speedway, and it’s been rescheduled for October 15th, 2017.

Sweet and the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet/Sage Fruit/ASE team ran well in the events that took place, earning two top-tens at Lincoln Speedway and Williams Grove. Brad also earned two top-fives at Williams Grove and New Egypt Speedway.

Daryn Pittman and the Great Clips/Sage Fruit/ASE team was strong, as he collected one top-15, three top-tens, with two of them being in second.

This upcoming week we are going to be at the Outlaw Showdown at the Dirt Track at Charlotte and the Memorial Day Spectacular at Lawrenceburg Speedway.

Consistency is key

The World of Outlaws Series had four scheduled stops, starting at Missouri State Fair Speedway and ending with the addition of the rescheduled race at Tri-State Speedway. Daryn Pittman and the Great Clips/Sage Fruit/ASE team started off this stint strong with two second-place finishes, and ended the stint with four top tens.

Sweet and the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet/Sage Fruit/ASE team stayed consistent over these five races, earning five top-ten finishes.

This upcoming week we are getting excited to be at the Gettysburg Clash, the Spring Classic, the Morgan Cup, the Empire State Challenge and the Jersey Outlaw Classic as we make our way through Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey before returning back to North Carolina.

The Outlaws will return to Charlotte for the The Outlaw Showdown at The Dirt Track at Charlotte on Friday May 26th.
