Teamwork is the key to JEGS Allstars title
CHICAGO (July 6) — For racers in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, winning an individual title at the JEGS Allstars race is a tremendous achievement, but being a part of the winning overall team is an extra-special accomplishment.

Held in conjunction with the K&N Filters Route 66 NHRA Nationals, an NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event, the JEGS Allstars race is a unique event that crowns individual champions in 10 separate eliminators, in addition to an overall team champion.

Mike Coughlin ready to show progress with JEGS.com Top Dragster
CHICAGO (July 6) — Mike Coughlin hopes to show off the progress made with his new JEGS.com Top Dragster during this weekend’s K&N Filters Route 66 NHRA Nationals at Route 66 Raceway.

Coughlin, one of four brothers who run JEGS High Performance, unveiled the new Dan Page-built dragster for the 2016 season. Crew chief Greg Cody and team members Dave Roark and Tony Collier continue to fine-tune the car, and Coughlin knows progress was made at the most recent race in Norwalk, Ohio, even if it didn’t show up on paper. Prior success has Jeg Coughlin Jr. pumped about Chicago
CHICAGO (July 6) — At the top of the professional win list for Route 66 Raceway, site of this weekend’s K&N Filters Route 66 NHRA Nationals, are two of the best in NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series history.

Pro Stock star Jeg Coughlin Jr. and Top Fuel driver Tony Schumacher each have won five times in Chicago during their brilliant careers. Those 10 victories in Chicago mirror other combined stats: 13 championships, 138 victories.

JEGS.com ace Troy Coughlin Sr. sees red in battle of Pro Mod stars
NORWALK, Ohio (June 26) — In a battle of Pro Mod superstars, Troy Coughlin Sr. came out on the losing end — this time — against Rickie Smith in the second round of the Real Pro Mod Association NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Series race on Sunday in Norwalk.

Coughlin and Smith have won the last four NHRA Pro Mod championships, with the JEGS.com driver winning in 2012 and 2015 and Smith in 2013-14. Sunday in Norwalk, the race was over early as Coughlin red-lit for what he believed was the first time in his Pro Mod career.

Victory in Norwalk remains elusive for all-time drag racing great Jeg Coughlin Jr.
NORWALK, Ohio (June 26) — Six-time world champion Jeg Coughlin Jr. has won national events at 24 different racetracks, including 22 facilities on the current NHRA schedule. Both marks set him apart from any other driver in history. The two locations where he hasn’t yet experienced a win are the two newest additions to the schedule: Norwalk, Ohio, and Epping, N.H.

For at least another season, those two tracks will remain on Coughlin’s to-do list.

Ohioan Troy Coughlin Sr. advances to second round of Norwalk Pro Mod race
NORWALK, Ohio (June 25) — Racing in his beloved home state, Troy Coughlin Sr. took his JEGS.com Corvette to the second round of the Real Pro Mod Association NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Series race on Saturday in Norwalk.

Coughlin, of Delaware, Ohio, wrapped up his No. 5 qualifying spot earlier Saturday, and then took out Chuck Little in the first round. Coughlin has won and advanced to the semifinal round at the two most recent Pro Mod events, trying to chip away at the points lead held by Rickie Smith. NORWALK, Ohio (June 20) — The famed Coughlin family will make its return home to race in this weekend’s NHRA race in Ohio, where four members will get behind the wheel in pursuit of Wallys.

Defending Pro Mod champion Troy Coughlin Sr. will compete in the NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Drag Racing Series event, while younger brother Mike will race in the Top Dragster class and youngest brother Jeg Jr. is entered in the Pro Stock category.

Troy Coughlin Sr.’s bid for back-to-back wins falls short in Bristol semifinals
BRISTOL, Tenn. (June 19) — JEGS.com Pro Mod driver Troy Coughlin Sr.’s winning streak ended at six rounds after he fell in the semifinals of the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals on Sunday at Bristol Dragway.

BRISTOL, Tenn. (June 19) — The sight was familiar yet somewhat unfamiliar.

Five-time Pro Stock champion Jeg Coughlin Jr., winner of 58 races in his glorious career, raced to his first semifinal finish of 2016, beating Bo Butner and Allen Johnson at the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals on Sunday at Bristol Dragway.

It was the 108th semifinal finish of Coughlin’s career but the first this season with his new Magneti Marelli offered by Mopar/JEGS.com Dodge Dart.

“The ultimate goal is to advance through four rounds and win the race,” Coughlin said. “As our fans, friends and family know, it’s been an infancy year for us, even when you look at the talent around this team.
