Max-D Wins Racing and Ties Monster Energy for the Lead of the Monster Jam FOX Sports 1 Championship Series

Detroit, MI (March 1, 2015) – The Monster Jam FOX Sports 1 Championship Series was on fire at Ford Field, the top-3 are separated by only one point! It was Max-DSM and Neil Elliott who won the racing championship, earning two points and tying Monster Energy for the series lead.

The night began with Monster Energy and Damon Bradshaw putting in the fastest qualifying time, grabbing the first point of the night. In the final round of racing, it was the greatest rivalry in motorsports with Max-D defeating Grave Digger®. ZombieSM and Bari Musawwir won the obstacle course for the 5th time this year, and is now tied for 5th place with Grave Digger, both have 5 points.

For the second week in a row and the 3rd time of the series, Monster Mutt® and Dustin Brown came out on top of the Monster Jam Freestyle competition. With the win tonight, Monster Mutt now has 8 points, one point behind Max-D and Monster Energy in the series.

On the line for the 16 Monster Jam trucks at the end of the 9-city Monster Jam FOX Sports 1 Championship Series are four automatic bids to Monster Jam World FinalsSM XVI at Las Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium on March 26-28, and the first-ever series championship.
