SONOMA, California (September 14, 2018) – Ryan Hunter-Reay led the way for Honda Friday at Sonoma Raceway, posting the fastest time in the first of two practice sessions for Sunday’s season finale – and championship deciding – INDYCAR Grand Prix of Sonoma.

Scott Dixon, leading the championship by 29 points (598-569) over primary rival Alexander Rossi, recorded his quickest lap of the day in the afternoon session to finish the day third overall. As a result, the starting field will be set by entrant championship points, led by Honda drivers Scott Dixon and Alexander Rossi.

Eversley chased Bryan Herta Autosport drivers Michael Lewis and Mark Wilkins throughout two trying events on the 3.048-mile road circuit outside of Salt Lake City, but was unable to prevent the Hyundai drivers from earning 1-2 sweeps in both races.
