BUBBA WALLACE, NO. 43 WORLD WIDE TECHNOLOGY CAMARO ZL1 media breakout session highlights:

IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYONE WAS REALLY DRAFTING WITH EACH OTHER.
“The package we have here produces close racing. We were able to tune on our single-car package a little bit and get the balance. Our whole organization has a lot of work to do as far as aerodynamic platforms, but we are trying things. We are all pushing the same envelope, so we’ll see what happens.” Continue reading Chevy Racing–NASCAR–Kansas–Bubba Wallace

“I don’t know. There are a lot of takeaways. The biggest takeaway for us is just having a victory this early, which is nice. Aside from that, we’ve had some mediocre runs. We’ve had a couple of races where I felt like I had an opportunity to win and some races where we didn’t have a fighting chance to win. So, having a victory is nice, and that’s our biggest take-away right now. Continue reading Chevy Racing–NASCAR–Kansas–Chase Elliott

BOWTIE BULLETS:

ELLIOTT RETURNS ON A ROLL:
In October 2018, Chase Elliott became the youngest (22 years, 10 months, 23 days) winner of a Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway. “I think as it has aged that outside lane has really prevailed and I think that will continue to be that way,” said the driver of the No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts Camaro ZL1, who is coming off a victory and fifth-place finish in the past two events. Elliott will be making his 125th MENCS start. Continue reading Chevy Racing–NASCAR–Kansas Preview

Kansas Has Been A Good Place For Menard, Wood Brothers

Kansas Has Been A Good Place For Menard, Wood Brothers

May 8, 2019

Next up for Paul Menard and the No. 21 Menards/Dutch Boy team is Saturday’s Digital Ally 400 at Kansas Speedway, a track that has been a good one for Menard and his No. 21 team.

In the past seven races on the 1.5-mile oval, the team has five finishes of seventh or better, including a sixth-place run by Menard last May. In the fall, he was poised to run the string to six strong Kansas finishes, but after driving from his 18th starting spot to fifth at the end of the first 80-lap Stage, he was involved in a collision on pit road that damaged his car and led to a disappointing finish.

Larry “The Legend” Swim makes it 2 in a row with a little help from his friends!

Larry “The Legend” Swim makes it 2 in a row
with a little help from his friends!
May 8, 2019 (Pacific, MO) – The 2019 Toughest Monster Truck Tour started off early in January and ran all the way through to April 13th. It is a long, tough and very competitive series that leaves very little room for error. Larry Swim started off the year on the disabled list, so he wasn’t able to compete until the 7th weekend of the year!

So, when looking for fill-in drivers to start the season, who else would you turn to besides 5-Time TMTT Champion Dan Runte and Josh Gibson (AKA “Vinny Venom”), also a Toughest Monster Truck Tour Champion. Runte started the 2019 season competing in the first 5 events, and it became apparent that he had not lost his touch, winning 4 of the first 5 races. Then, Gibson assumed the driving duties for the next 3 events, driving a BIGFOOT Truck he had never driven and sweeping all 3 races! Once Larry was released for duty, he raced in the remaining 13 events, and like the champion he is, ended with a whopping 11-2 racing record!

While the Toughest Monster Truck Tour is one of the most, if not THE most, competitive series in all of Monster Trucks, Dan, Josh, and Larry were able to put together a season to remember, taking the overall 2019 Toughest Monster Truck Tour Championship!

We would like to THANK everyone from BIGFOOT for all of the long hours and long days necessary to compete at this level, with a special shout-out to our shop and crew guys. To be able to put 3 guys in the same BIGFOOT truck and go 18-3 in racing and win the Championship says a LOT about the quality of your work. This is what being a team is all about!

Julie Nataas Scores Back-To-Back Top Alcohol Dragster Wins

NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster team Randy Meyer Racing made the most of their weekend and came out on top at the Buckeye Nationals in Columbus, Ohio. Julie Nataas drove the Oslo Tapet Gulvbelegg AS backed dragster to compete in the first Division 3/North Central Region Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event to the number 1 qualifying position with a 5.28 ET.

“I was still on a high from my first win going into Columbus,” said Julie. “I had heard it was a rough track, so I figured I would do some driving and get more experience driving the car.”

Julie went on to defeat JP Gutierrez in the opening round of eliminations of the 8-car field, followed by Mike Kosky for a final round match-up against Chris Demke.

“I know Chris has a good car and that the round was important for the regional championship as we both race the North Central. I got the start line advantage, saw him out in front of me for a little bit before I drove around him. Getting my second win just a week after my first one in Charlotte for the NGK Spark Plugs 4-Wide Nationals was awesome! Thank you to the entire Randy Meyer Racing Team for a great weekend.”

Julie is now going home with back-to-back wins and already holds two quarter-final finishes, and one semi-finalist, for the 2019 season. Julie will compete in Norwalk, OH May 17-19th to defend her winning streak, and will continue to compete in the North Central Region at the Indianapolis, Chicago, and Kentucky events to battle for her first Regional Championship. Teammate Camrie Caruso will join Julie at the Norwalk Regional event for her second race in the Top Alcohol Dragster category.

Tyler Reddick Looking to Tame The Beast at Kansas Speedway

Tyler Reddick Looking to Tame The Beast at Kansas Speedway
Tame The Beast, an Emerging Leader in Men’s Grooming Products, to be aboard Reddick’s
No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at Kansas Speedway

WELCOME, N.C. (May 7, 2019) – Tame the Beast®, a trendsetter in the men’s grooming industry that creates products with arousing scents and energizing properties, will make its NASCAR debut through its partnership with Richard Childress Racing on Tyler Reddick’s No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway this weekend.

Tame the Beast encourages men to embrace their inner beast with their uniquely masculine grooming products. Products include a variety of scents and purposes, such as the Extreme Yawp Hair, Beard & Body Wash, Nutt Butter, and Caffeine Conditioner. The Nashville, Tennessee-based company uses all-natural, intense botanicals, including eucalyptus, ginseng, and pomegranate, in all of their products.

“We’re thrilled to support Tyler,” said John Cascarano, founder of Tame the Beast. “We’re all about helping men perform at their peak, and clearly Tyler is racing at the top of his game.”

Reddick made his NASCAR Cup Series debut earlier this year in the Daytona 500, finishing 27th after being caught up in a major wreck late in the race. The defending NASCAR Xfinity Series champion is currently leading the points in the 2019 Xfinity Series season, capturing one win, two pole awards, eight top-five and nine top-10 finishes so far this year.

Tame the Beast, whose motto is to “Groom Boldly™,” has found a great match in Reddick, who is known for his aggressive driving style and giving each lap everything he’s got.

“Tame the Beast is an edgy, bold brand that’s making noise in the men’s grooming industry,” said Reddick. “I think that fits well with my driving style and the attitude of my RCR team this season. We’re out there every weekend, going hard to get every spot we can and often driving on the edge to get it. I’m excited to be partnering with Tame the Beast and helping spread their message to groom boldly.”

This will be Reddick’s first Kansas Speedway start in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. The 22-year-old driver has two starts at the 1.5-mile speedway in the Xfinity Series, collecting one pole and two top-five finishes.

Austin Dillon Fights Tough-Handling No. 3 AAA Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at Dover International Speedway

“Our 19th-place finish at Dover today wasn’t indicative of the fight this team showed all race long. The No. 3 AAA Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 started off the day tight on exit and stayed that way until the end of the Stage 1. My pit crew did a great job when we pitted on Lap 105 during the caution and gained us several spots in the process to help us with track position. After that first stop, our No. 3 AAA Chevy really took off and felt it was in the best shape it had been all weekend. However, a few laps later, it became really free and I battled loose entry and exit throughout the rest of Stage 2. Unfortunately, this caused us to go a lap down and finish the stage in the 19th spot. The final stage began with several wedge and trackbar adjustments to try and dial in the No. 3 AAA Chevrolet. This helped out quite a bit until after the final green flag pit stop. Our Chevrolet tightened up right after that stop and was tough to handle for the rest of the race. Even though The Monster Mile was a beast today, I look forward to conquering it later in the year. For now, we’ll regroup as a team during this short week in order to get back on track for Kansas next weekend.”
-Austin Dillon

Daniel Hemric Records 25th-Place Finish with Caterpillar Chevrolet in First Dover Start

“They call this place The Monster Mile for a reason, and it was a monster to us today. We fought the handling of the No. 8 Caterpillar Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 all weekend, but Luke Lambert and these guys didn’t give up on it and kept working from the time we unloaded and all throughout the race. We never did get it to where we needed it to be and then on top of that, we had to pit with less than 20 laps to go for a loose wheel. We will take what we learned today and make sure we are in a better spot coming back here in the fall. I have to say thanks to all of the fans that came back today after yesterday’s rain out. The crowd was impressive for a Monday race, and hopefully they enjoyed the show.”
-Daniel Hemric
