| Indianapolis –– (Sept. 19, 2026) – Jack Aitken, driver of the No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R, qualified second for the TireRack.com Battle at the Bricks at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He missed the pole by just .301 of a second, which was taken by Tom Blomqvist and Meyer Shank Racing. Aitken’s lap was 1 minute 14.975 seconds (117.110 mph). Louis Delétraz, driver of the No. 40 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R, qualified fourth with a lap of 1 minute, 15.216 seconds (116.735 mph). His teammate, Filipe Albuquerque, driver of the No. 10 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R, was seventh with a lap of 1 minute 15.353 seconds (116.523 mph). The two-hour 40 minute race starts at 3:10 pm EDT on September 20 and will be broadcast on NBC and streamed Peacock and IMSAs YouTube page (outside United States). I think we rolled out with a good car from last year, obviously we were very competitive, but the track’s been changing a lot this week. But I was really happy with the changes we’ve made, and I think we can be really proud of the front row start, next to the 60. It’s a good spot for tomorrow, obviously, and hopefully keep ourselves towards the pointy end and out of trouble. That’s the aim, always in these sprint races. So, yeah, really happy, good start.” |
