CORVETTE RACING AT INDY: Front-Row Start for No. 4 CorvetteWeather forces cancellation of GTD PRO, GTD qualifying; grid set by Team points DETROIT (September 19, 2026) – Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports’ No. 4 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R will start on the GTD PRO front row for Sunday’s Battle on the Bricks for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.
The No. 4 Corvette of Tommy Milner and Nicky Catsburg is set to roll off second in class after the threat of inclement weather forced IMSA to cancel qualifying for both GT classes Saturday. As a result, the grids for both GTD PRO and GTD will line up by Team points. Milner and Catsburg entered the Indy weekend second in the Driver and Team championships and 23 points out of the lead. However, no session Saturday afternoon meant no qualifying points and no opportunity to close that gap. The two yellow Corvettes showed strong pace and were 1-2 in both practice sessions Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Antonio Garcia, who teams with Alexander Sims in the No. 3 Corvette, set the fastest GTD PRO time across the two practices followed by Catsburg and Milner with Sims fifth-quickest of all drivers. Despite that strong pace, the No. 3 will start seventh in GTD PRO but with the opportunity to move up. In GTD, the No. 13 13 Autosport Corvette of Orey Fidani and Matt Bell will start seventh in class and one spot behind the No. 70 Ferrari with the two entries leading the Bob Akin Award standings going into Indianapolis. DragonSpeed’s No. 81 Corvette of Giacomo Altoé and Casper Stevenson – who was the third-fastest GTD driver in the combined practice sessions – will start 10th. DXDT Racing’s Robert Wickens and Mason Filippi will roll off 13th in the No. 36 Corvette. The TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks from Indianapolis Motor Speedway is scheduled for 3:10 p.m. ET on Sunday. It will air live on NBC starting at 3 p.m. ET as will streaming coverage on Peacock in the U.S. and IMSA’s YouTube channel internationally. IMSA Radio will air the race at IMSA.com, XM 206 and SiriusXM Online 996.

TOMMY MILNER, NO. 4 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “Annoying to not have a chance at qualifying. You never know what the end result would have been, but we’ve had fast Corvettes through the first two practices. The BMW seemed a little bit slower so it would have been nice to gain some points on them, but it wasn’t an option. Obviously starting second is great. The problem is it puts fast cars that aren’t where they are supposed to be and slower cars in places maybe where they aren’t supposed to be. That just causes chaos typically. Tomorrow will be about surviving the first couple of corners and first lap, so hopefully we can settle in after that and go racing from there.”

ANTONIO GARCIA, NO. 3 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “It’s a shame not to have the session. It hurt the 4 car on points. But looking at it the other way, we’ve started from worse than sixth and still won the race. We know we are fast so it opens quite an opportunity to split strategies and do crazy things to put everyone else under pressure. That’s something that could happen so we will see. We’ve always been working hard to get these cars as good as possible and working well. Last year we were almost on pole. We’ve had good pace here before but never good enough to win the race. This year we seem to be a little stronger which is a good perspective looking ahead to tomorrow. We just need to play it smart and see what happens.”
