BATAVIA, Ohio (July 1, 2025) – The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presented by FloRacing will celebrate Independence Day weekend with a Buckeye State doubleheader. The action this weekend will get started on Friday, July 4, with a stop at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio, for the Independence 50. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will compete in a complete program of Dirt Draft Hot Laps, Allstar Performance Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 50-lap, $25,000 to win main event. The Sport Modifieds are also on the racing card for Friday, July 4, at Atomic Speedway. The pit gate will open at 2:00 PM. The general admission gates will open at 4:00 PM, with on-track action beginning at 6:00 PM. Atomic Speedway is located at 2535 Blain Highway in Waverly, Ohio – just off S.R. 23, six miles south of Chillicothe. The following night, July 5, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series returns to Muskingum County Speedway. Another complete program of Dirt Draft Hot Laps, Allstar Performance Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 60-lap, $25,000 to win main event is in store during the annual Freedom 60. The pit gate opens at 2:00 PM, with the general admission gates opening at 4:00 PM and on-track action beginning at 6:00 PM. An autograph session with the stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series is scheduled from 4:30 PM to 5:15 PM. In addition to the thrilling action of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, the 604 Late Models and Modifieds will also compete on Saturday. Muskingum County Speedway will also have the largest display of fireworks the area has to offer following the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series main event.
