“I’m incredibly excited about the debut of my 2024 GT86 drift car. It’s been a long and meticulous journey building this machine, ensuring every detail is just right. We’ve taken our time, not rushing the process, and I believe we’ve done an exceptional job. This car is not just a local contender; it’s designed to be a global force at drift events worldwide. The GT86, with its amazing platform, provided the perfect canvas for this project, and the new 2JZ engine package takes it to a whole new level.”The initial release will be at the ST Suspension Booth at Essen Motorshow, followed by appearances at the Monster Energy conference, the Autosport Show, and the Snap On Franchisee show in February. It’s an honor to unveil this masterpiece at such prestigious events. This build stands out as one of the best in the scene, featuring full carbon kevlar from HGK Racing. The collaboration between SB Motorsport, Motorsport 56, and Quinn M-Sport has been instrumental in bringing this vision to life. Motorsport 56 handled the initial fabrication and wiring, while Quinn M-Sport took charge of the dry build and paint.
I can’t wait to unleash the full potential of this GT86 on the track and share it with the global drifting community. It’s more than just a car; it’s a testament to the dedication and expertise of everyone involved in this incredible project.” Power and Performance:
Under the hood sits an incredible DY Engine Services 2JZ built engine, tuned to deliver a tyre shredding 1000hp and 900nm of torque. Not just that, but extra punch is added by the Garret G35 1150 turbo, Turbosmart wastegate, Walton Motorsport exhaust manifold, and a Vibrant Performance titanium exhaust system.
  Fueling the Fire:
Fueled by Sunoco E85 Race Fuel and a Radium Engineering fuel system, this GT86 is ready to race with ASNU 1500cc injectors and a K&N air filter. Keeping it all cool is a Forge Motorsport intercooler and radiator, supported by Funk Motorsport heat management, Vibrant Performance engine fittings, and HD clamps. Samco Sport engine hoses ensure everything stays connected in the most extreme on-track conditions.
  Drivetrain Dominance:
Shifting gears is handled by a fully built Quaife 69G 6-speed gearbox with a Competition Clutch triple disc, while the Winters/Sikky diff and subframe provide the necessary stability for Baggsy’s on-the-door drift runs.
  Suspension and Handling:
The GT86 drift car boasts ST Branded KW 3-way competition suspension, coupled with a Wisefab v2 suspension setup; ensuring precision control over every drift. Rolling on iconic BBS LM wheels, the GT86 is as stylish as it is powerful.
  Safety First:
Of course, inside the cockpit, safety is paramount with Sparco seats and belts, complemented by a Wilwood brake system and Hel Performance brake linesTech and Electronics:
The brains behind the operation include a Link ECU, Motec PDM, AEM dash, and Motorsport 56 wiring, forming a cutting-edge electronic architecture.
