Dominic Scelzi Set for Lincoln Debut Before Tackling Peter Murphy Classic

Inside Line Promotions – ROSSBURG, Ohio (May 14, 2019) – Dominic Scelzi has four races scheduled in two states across the country from each other this week.

Scelzi will pilot his family owned No. 41s on Wednesday when he makes his debut at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pa., during the Gettysburg Clash presented by Drydene with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series.

“My biggest goal is to be able to get more nights in to better our program,” he said. “With everything being completely different than it’s been before I need time in it to get comfortable. I look forward to being able to work with the guys and improve our program.”

Scelzi will then travel to his home state of California to tackle the Peter Murphy Classic on Friday and Saturday at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare. He will drive for Roth Motorsports during the marquee event.

“I’m really looking forward to the Peter Murphy Classic,” he said. “I get to run the 360 on Friday and the 410 and 360 on Saturday. Even though we’ve been very consistent and fast, we’re still meshing. We’re gaining on it so I’m excited to jump back in it.

“Over the last couple of years I’ve had good speed in Tulare and we’ve shown promise. That makes you feel good. It’s one of the most difficult tracks in the country. You have to be on your game as a driver and with the race car. I’m going there with high hopes and high expectations.”
