Cruz Pedregon–Charlotte Advance

NHRA® Team Report
NHRA Four-Wide Nationals – Charlotte
Pre-Race Report

Defending champion Cruz Pedregon and team are ready for another win at the Charlotte Four-Wide Nationals this year. “We hit the sweet-spot tuning for this race last season, and that’s what we’re looking to do again this year,” said Pedregon. “The Snap-on Dodge is consistently performing well, and we’ve been pleased with the way things are coming together to run strong 3’s at each event.

“As team owner, I’m really proud of the way Crew Chief Glen (Huszar) and Assistant Crew Chief Nick (Casertano) are working with the crew to make sure everything on the car is right. It should be a great weekend for racing, and we plan to make it fun and exciting for NHRA fans in the stands and watching on FOX Sports.”

This will be the third weekend running the “Own It” franchise paint scheme on “El Incursor” (aka “The Raider” body), representing the opportunity the team’s primary sponsor Snap-on offers for qualified individuals to own a mobile tool franchise business. Cruz and crew will be staying in Charlotte after the Four-Wide Nationals to test a new back-up car to add to the team’s inventory.

On the side of Cruz’s car this week –
If you’ll check the side of Cruz’s car this week, you’ll see the name of local Snap-on Nitro Franchisee David Dean. David will celebrate the first anniversary of his Snap-on franchise in May. It’s somewhat of a family business for David, as his brother operates a neighboring Snap-on franchise route. David previously managed nutrition franchise stores and says he appreciates working with a leader like Snap-on because of the strong support given to its franchisees. After work hours, David stays busy with his 18-month old little boy, and he and his wife have a baby girl on the way. He’ll be at the track with a group of his customers this weekend for his second visit to the Four-Wides here in Charlotte.
