Dane Cameron will start from the overall pole in his Acura Team Penske ARX-05, while Trent Hindman will lead the GTD class to the green in his Meyer Shank Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo.

Acura Team Penske
After leading the field in the final practice session, Cameron repeated his effort in qualifying, posting a time of one minute, 45.865 around the 3.74-mile road course to claim his first pole for Acura, and the first of the still-young 2019 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season for Acura Team Penske. Cameron will start at the head of the 38-car field tomorrow morning, sharing his #6 Acura with co-drivers Juan Pablo Montoya and Simon Pagenaud.

Teammate Helio Castroneves qualified third in the #7 ARX-05 he will share with co-drivers Ricky Taylor and Alexander Rossi. Quotes
Dane Cameron (driver, #6 Acura Team Penske ARX-05) overall, prototype pole qualifier: “It’s pretty cool. There’s nothing better than the view from the front. We had a little problem yesterday and our [crew] guys were here until two in the morning, so they only got about two hours sleep [last night]. So ‘thank you’ to them. Really proud to be part of Acura Team Penske and really happy, it’s been a while since I’ve been able to do this!”

Trent Hindman (driver, #86 Meyer Shank Racing Acura NSX GT3) GTD pole qualifier: “I don’t know what to say. I mean, Meyer Shank Racing…I’m learning so much from these guys. All my co-drivers, all my teammates, It’s a great result for all the hard work they put in back at the shop – and again last night. We made a lot of changes to the car after practice yesterday. I’m glad it all worked out, and I was able to deliver a result for them.”
