DEFENDING CHAMPS: One year ago, Austin Dillon took the Camaro ZL1 to Victory Lane for the first time by winning the season-opening Daytona 500. The feat not only brought the No. 3 back to Winner’s Circle at Daytona after 20 years, but also gave Chevrolet its first win with a new brand; marking the seventh different moniker to earn a victory in ‘The Great American Race’. In 2019, the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 returns to defend its Daytona 500 victory and begin its sophomore season as Chevrolet’s nameplate in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS).

ALL-TIME GREATEST:Chevrolet has scored 24 Daytona 500 race wins (1959 – present). In MENCS competition, Chevrolet has earned 39 Manufacturer Championships, 31 Driver Championships, 700 pole awards and 779 wins, more than any other manufacturer.

LUCKY NUMBER 700: William Byron drove his No. 24 Camaro ZL1 to the pole position for the 61st running of the Daytona 500 during pole qualifying. He earned the 26th Daytona 500 pole for Team Chevy and became the seventh consecutive Chevy driver to sit on the pole for the season-opening event. He also achieved a big milestone in Chevrolet’s Cup Series history by earning the 700th pole for Chevrolet at NASCAR’s top level. Byron is joined by his Hendrick Motorsports teammate Alex Bowman on the front row for the start of this year’s Daytona 500.

WINNING ALREADY: In last weekend’s exhibition race, The Advance Auto Parts Clash, Jimmie Johnson found Victory Lane for the first time in 2019 and the second time in the Daytona Clash event. Johnson’s victory was Chevrolet’s 21st time hoisting The Clash trophy and a great way to start off the 2019 season.

Fans can visit the Team Chevy Racing Display, located in the Fan Midway area at Daytona International Speedway, all weekend. Friday the display will be open from Noon to 8pm, Saturday from 9 am to 5pm and on Sunday, it will be open from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Fans can also check out an extensive line-up of Chevrolet vehicles as they make their way to their seats through the Chevrolet Injector entrance

There will also be the No. 3 DOW RCR 50th anniversary show car for fans to get an up-close and personal look into a Chevrolet race car

Throughout the weekend fans can catch their favorite drivers on stage at the Team Chevy Display. On Friday, Young’s Motorsports drivers will be on the Chevy stage at 1pm followed by Ray Black, Jr. at 3:30 pm. On Saturday, defending Daytona 500 winner, Austin Dillon will be on the stage at 10:15 am followed by his brother Ty Dillon at 10:30 am. On Sunday, fans can enjoy a few special driver appearances: Tyler Reddick at 10:00 am, Jimmie Johnson at 10:35 am, Alex Bowman at 10:45 am, Chase Elliott at 11:00 am, and Chevy Silverado Pace Truck Driver, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. at 11:20 am.

Fans can also see a sample of engines, parts and accessories available for purchase from Chevrolet Performance at their local Chevrolet dealer
