ECOPO Camaro Breaks Nine Second Mark in Second Exhibition Run

POMONA, CALIF (February 9, 2019) – A little more history was made Saturday at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona as the Hancock and Lane electric-powered ECOPO Camaro raced into the nine-second zone piloted by Patrick McCue.

It was the second exhibition run of the weekend by the innovative Camaro developed in a collaborative effort by the team with McCue and Chevrolet.

The Lane and McCue pairing, who posted a 10.02 Friday, accomplished their stated goal of a nine-second e.t. with a 9.837 at 134.07 mph with McCue at the wheel.

The team is expected to make one more exhibition run on Sunday during the finals of the Series’ opening event.

Chevrolet is marking the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the COPO Camaro.

FS1 will telecast live eliminations and finals February 10 starting at 5 p.m. ET.
