CHEVROLET ‘MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER’

FAST FACTS

In partnership with the American Cancer Society (ACS) for the eighth consecutive season, Chevrolet is again supporting the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC) campaign.

Since 2011, Chevrolet, our dealers, and GM Employees have contributed nearly $10 Million to the ACS to support breast cancer research, education for health care professionals, screening guidelines, and promotion for early detection and patient resources.

This weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, Chevrolet is hosting breast cancer survivors and their guests on Saturday morning, Oct. 13, providing hot laps in pink Camaro SS pace cars around the 2.66-mile track with Chevy drivers Austin Dillon and Ryan Newman. They will also be treated to a breakfast hospitality experience complete with a unique activity, a driver question-and-answer session, autographs, photos, and tickets to the race.

On Sunday, Oct. 14, Chevrolet will again campaign a Team Chevy-commissioned pink Camaro SS pace car during the 1000Bulb.com 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race. For every lap the pink pace car leads the field under caution, Chevrolet will donate $350 (up to $50,000) to the MSABC program. The donations will also occur at the upcoming First Data 500 MENCS race at Martinsville Speedway Oct. 28.

Talladega Superspeedway is also supporting this important MSABC program with a uniquely painted pink and black checkered Start/Finish Line.

Chevrolet is also contributing to the ACS partnership via a social media engagement program that encourages people to ‘Share Who Inspires Them to End This Disease’ by using the hashtag #IDriveFor. Chevrolet will donate $5 for every social post using #IDriveFor (up to $400,000) on Twitter or Instagram during the month of October.
